It's a medical issue and the only treatment for it that has proven to have any positive effect is to transition to living as the opposite sex. Admittedly the increased social acceptance of trans people in recent years has caused a small but vocal number of people to end up latching onto the notion as a form of attention-seeking or simply because they don't conform to gender stereotypes or whatever, but those people rarely ever transition so its not a huge deal beyond them acting obnoxious sometimes.

I don't care about trannies or faggotry, I think the whole thing is just silly. The right's obsession with faggotry just betrays that they themselves are faggots and their ideology is faggotry, fascist ideology even moreso and explicitly (there is a reason why fascists rely on sexual imagery to convey their ideology).
I am bothered that people within the left want to tie themselves to faggotry as a cause to fight for, and all forms of sexual politics are a cancer to the left. But what faggots do in their own time isn't really something I care to police or cure; it is not too hard to understand homosexual pathology and realize that, usually, something is wrong and dysfunctional with these people, but it is better to treat the underlying pathological problems than try to cure faggotry (and conversion therapies are total bullshit). The greatest problem as I see it is that these men (and I can only speak for the men) can't be cured because they never develop the ability to form meaningful relationships with women, and it's damn near impossible to build that out of nothing (nor would it even be desirable; I for one have no interest in pursuing relationships with women).
For what it's worth I'm an ex-"bisexual" man who eventually said to hell with it and became essentially asexual. I'm much happier since I stopped caring about such things; I don't think a lot of men over 30 are so obsessive about sex, unless they get trapped on an ideological hamster wheel (which fascists and capitalists routinely exploit, as I have seen many many times; it was seeing that exploitation that eventually drove me to give up sexuality).

In my experience, trans people really just want two things from other people. To not be assaulted or murdered for existing, and to have their immediate family, friends, and doctors respect them and their choices. The first seems like something leftists should support for most everybody, and the second isn't really a political problem.
