Like I get the message "You musn't wish for peace, you must make it" Yeah but how? Singing with the villains that constantly terrorize the people isn't gonna make it. And the gnome did create peace, he used his power to get rid of all criminals. And he didn't mind-control the people, they willingly worshipped him. As they did the girls too. It's not forced, they're just dumb and can't take care of themselves, which is why they constantly relay on superheroes. Cartoons are not the peace to make statements like this, because the writers are seriously under-informed on all these issues.

But since then they made a bunch of diversity-centered episodes (mostly about non-ponies joining pony society and a friendship school the main character started) which pissed off a lot of the fans. The whole Starlight Glimmer thing was a reference to Harrison Bergeron anyway but it made for some funny "Cutie Marxist" fanart.
