Yeah, but in the US he wouldn't have found the same support. The US was just not built for a revolution like that. And it's ceirtainly no place for radicals to thrive. It's nauseating actually, the capitalist culture of the US turns even it's radicals figures into a product to be consumed. When you see MLK's namesake being used to endorse trucks, or book deals and movies and endorsements of shitty neo-liberals by ex-radicals to showcase how cool these neoliberals are.

i can agree that the US is a nasty and tricky place but i assure you that Leninism that isn't just LARPing but a proper adaptation to the concrete situation of the USA could very much become a political force

You have to remember that back in 1917 there was a large socialist movement in the US. It would've easily evolved to revolution with the Plamer raids being probable cause for justification for violent action taken against the state. Reaction would be just as heavy in the states as was in Russia and the civil war would probably finish latter when the great depression hits in '29. Eugine Debs would probably become the new Stalin. Debs did nothing wrong.

I dunno fam. Socialism is one of those things where once you understand it (if you actually do) you're not going to un-learn it. In my experience if I talk to people who had a "radical phase" or whatever they don't actually understand what they're talking about and just spout talking points.
