The general argument is that greed is a better fuel for progressiveness than virtue.
To piggyback from people desire is more effective rather than disseminate the profit, etc etc.
That civilization cannot exist under communism/socialism because of stagnation, that people greed is what makes it work and the abolishment of competition kills competence.
Then again, I cannot read their minds, so I don't know if that's what they mean by human nature 100%.

What they mean by human nature is that they believe in a strawman of communism where everyone is exactly equal in every way, no incentives for good behavior exist whatsoever and muh free exchange is prohibited. Everyone wears the same grey clothing and eats the same grey gruel. Because humans want to be different and get rewards, communism is against human nature.
They are unable to imagine a society where hard work/innovation are rewarded but people can't just sit on private property and get rich for nothing, for some reason.
