The DPRK already has SEZ's and has opened itself up to (Mainly Chinese and Russian) Investment since 91

This does not make them less socialist it was simply necessary for survival after 91

Right so that's north korea off the list..

Next up, Cub- oh wait:

xinhuanet.com/english/2018-06/19/c_137264538.htm

A. the DPRK allowing a Market sector so they dont starve to death or stay in a 80s time lock does not make them less socialist

B. Same goes for Cuba and most of the Private Business is Single Operator (Taxi's) or family business

(me)

And Cuba Recognizing public properties existence does not represent a step back but simply a recognition of the current situation
And its important to keep in mind Cuba's economy has literally always had Market elements

Trump meeting kim did fuck all, US doesn't allow peace

The aspies on this board seem to always sperg out at this though

You are assuming this because he walked around in singapore?

I'm assuming this because now apparently south Koreans, Singaporeans and Chinese businessmen are anxiously waiting for a deal, and that the DPRK has sent multiple civil servants and other technical experts to Singapore to study the economy and other sectors so they can improve theirs, which seems to imply quite a bit.

whats even the point anymore, wish i was born to see 1917 we had a chance then.

Burgerland is too stronk tbqh

i don't wanna be one of those le born in the wrong generation fags but god dammit sometimes i wish i could have lived in the soviet union and die before seeing socialism collapse. at least than i could be in peace.
fuck this timeline.

Me too. In fact, even if i had born outside of the Soviet Union, i would have defected there.
It had issues, it was nowhere near perfect, but fuck me if it wasn't better than all capitalist countries, including the scandinavian ones.

ok what the fuck guys
i'm pretty pathetic, with no hopes of ever being able to contribute anything besides a few € for a small party while embarrassing the cause by speaking up online
and i see the same shit of downfall and degeneration all around me
and yet i'm still not so fucking defeatist like the whole bunch of you
what is going on in your lifes that you have such little trust into a changing environment and movements eventually turning into our favor again?
there was this euphoric determinism we had in the eastern block of communism being "inevitable" and already established that had people drop their guard and become complacent with how things went
and now we have the complete opposite again, and there's just too much of it to be even reasonable dejection over how things have turned out so far
i mean there's nothing going on which we could be all thrilled about but it's not like it's just over yet
theres gotta be a reason why you still study and argue over these things

This, lads, I agree. Would've fought bravely in Afghanistan or even WWII if I could've. Even if my role was nothing remarkable.

people are not going to wake the fuck from their induced dreams unless there's anomie.
Unless internet collapses or electricity collapses people are not going to do anything besides compaining on the internet.
Things need to be a LOT worse before they can be better.

I see no problem here.
The people of korea can only gain from lessening aggression.

i'm saying its anti-soviet propaganda

Woah pack it up boys it's over.

is this real

The DPRK needs technology and modernization, and Singapore is one of the most developed countries in the world - why wouldn't they increase economic relations? The DPRK has always tried to attract foreign investment since 1991, so they already "opened up" in a sense, but their "opening up" was restricted to joint ventures and SEZ, unlike full Dengism where you basically liberalize the entire economy. Socialism is the ideological justification for their leadership, it's part of their superstructure, so they won't go full cappie.

Cuba, on the other hand, is a different story.

Frankly I think that holdouts will be forced to take this route or perish. The question is whether or not it’s possible to implement Dengism as it was actually intended, ie capitalism under the watchful eye of a genuine worker’s party. I think it’s possible, although fraught with pitfalls. For example I think some measures could be taken to lock porkies out of politics, such as only allowing proles to vote and hold office, as well as maintaining strong trade unions, welfare state, and free legal council for proles who want to sue porkies. They could also prohibit privately owned media, only allowing media co-ops, and ban professional lobbyists and private campaign donations. Overall I think this would definitely weaken the working class grip on political power, however I don’t think it would destroy it completely. If social democracy is a bourgeois hegemony distinct from fascist bourgeois dictatorship, then this would be proletarian hegemony rather than proletarian dictatorship.
