since this thread is mostly about america i guess i'll speak. I work at a call center in the third world, and my job is to call americans, make them think that i work for their electricity company and i'm going to give them money by some obscure government program, and use that to trick them into showing me their electricity and gas recive, and use that to sign them up for another supplier. actually recently they changed my script, and now i trick them into thinking i work for their utility company, and that i'm some good samaritan trying to explain their bill to them, and then in the midst of that i sign them up for another supplier

i don't even know how they get the numbers, there is literally like >12 companies that do the same, in just my city, and they all have a shadowy list of people, with all their data,and they all are late capitalist as fuck, where mostly they keep you in a tiny phone booth, sound proof too so you can never talk to your coworkers, or even know them, without any natual light or clocks so you never know what time it is. without rests for bathrooms, or even drinking water, and with an air conditioning so high you will fucking get sick, and won't have time to go to the doctor because you work 11 hours a day 6 days a week

Former Octapharma plasma donor here; You walk in and have to use this electronic panel on the wall, it asks you for some basic info, name, address, if you have any health disorders, if you travelled to any AIDS-infected countries since the 70s (or something I forgot the question itself), and needs your social security number. Pass that, a guy takes you into a room for a physical, he just asks you to do some stationary exercises to test reflexes, etc. If you pass, he gives you your own OctaPharma card which is like a debit card and an information packet about the card. Then you're seated until it's your turn. Someone will call you in and stick a needle in your finger to get some blood to test for you blood iron level. If you pass, you go with a guy and lie down on a bed. The stick a needle in your arm to draw some blood for something. Then they hook you to a machine and you're expected to pump your fist for an hour or so, your blood goes into a machine where it scrapes the plasma off it then gets injected back into you. When you're done you get unhooked and they put some bandages on your arm. You go to the front desk and give the clerk your card, he runs it through and puts your money on it. If you want physical cash, you take the card down to a supermarket like Krogers and go to the "money order" section, but you're expect to pay a small fee to get the money out of the card (for me it was .50 cents).

So some advice: drink a gallon of water the day before you plan on donating, make sure you've eaten a lot of food before you go into donate, and bring some snack food for when you're done donating. My first mistake is that I thought plasma donation was like surgery so I didn't eat or drink anything before I donating, this caused me to have a vasovagal syncope during donation, one of the nurses stayed with me through it though, nice guy. Still got paid though. So good luck.

Capitalism is a system of private ownership of resources + the means of production and generalized commodity production driven by the process of capital accumulation and reproduction.

This became the dominant system in Europe roughly two centuries ago and then became the dominant global system after the age of colonialism. The only nations to have deviated from this economic organization were the Marxist-Leninist states of the 20th century (and much smaller, briefer revolutions by other left socialist tendencies).

Capital controlled by the state is still capital. That the state might be involved to a greater or lesser degree means nothing, capitalism couldn’t even exist without the state. Capitalist economic structure dominated in Nazi Germany and therefore the Warsaw Ghetto.

I guess some explanation is needed. It’s property separated out from the collective commons. Things the state controls are not always held as public property, as a part of any kind of collective commons, but as essentially private. Indeed, the state itself may be private property, as was the case under feudalism. Only under republics is even the state considered to be the collective property of the citizenry.

Dictionaries are descriptive rather than prescriptive. They don’t tell you the “correct” meaning of words, but what they feel most people mean when they say them.

For that you need an encyclopedia or similar which goes deeper into a subject.

Private property is putting up land enclosures on the common lands, it doesn’t matter if the holder is an individual or the state.

Are you in another dimension where companies are magickal entities that exist unto themselves? Private companies don't extract their money out of thin air. At any moment everywhere in modern capitalism of past 100 years bank, state, credit and law structures are involved and intermingled.
