Happy 9/11 Zig Forums! How is everyone celebrating today?
17 years on, in hindsight, did America deserve 9/11? And does America deserve another 9/11 today?

I'm sure the 1000 proles dying was worth it, as well as the hundred thousand arabs later.

9/11 was a pin-prick compared to what burgerland deserves.

The real question is why was the 9/11 theories thread deleted. Makes you think, user
Happy 9/11 user! I'll personally celebrate with my family, having dinner and laughing at the commemorations on TV.

I've actually been thinking about this a lot, and the only serviceable answer I've been able to develop is a dialectical one.
This is all on the premise that Al Qaeda perpetrated the 9/11 attack, and with Osama's explanation of why, so if this buttblasts you just don't read on.
Going off of what Osama said in an interview, the killing of Americans is in response to the destruction of Islamic culture (I think) but mostly in response to the killings of "our sons" (Middle Eastern people). Firstly, I empathise with this position. Killing someones child is a very, very good reason for them to kill you. I think that Osama is 100% correct in wanting justice for US actions in the Middle East.
I also understand wanting to kill Americans for that. The U.S. government is responsible for these killings, and thusly so are the American people, in at least a limited sense. I absolutely believe that the American people are partially guilty for the crimes perpetrated by the U.S. government. However, I disagree with Osama when it comes to the guilt of the American people. As a Marxist, I do not believe the American people control their government. I do not believe they control their education. I dont believe they control their media. I dont believe they control their economy. Overall, I correctly believe that the average individual American, and individual in general, is completely out of control. Thusly, they can not be held responsible for the crimes of the U.S. government. Thusly, the targeting of civilians in the 9/11 attack was morally wrong and I oppose it.
Furthermore, the 9/11 attack was a pragmatically flawed idea. How has 9/11 helped the Middle East? How has 9/11 benefited the sons Osama wanted to avenge? The answer, clearly, is that it has not. The 9/11 attack was a useless slaughter for publicity that did nothing for the Middle Eastern people other than invite bloodshed, and thusly should be opposed.
Im done writing for now. I may come back to finish this.
The US is a tumor on this planet, and it's labour aristocracy is equally responsible for US imperialism with the country's capital. You're naive if you think they didn't deserve 9/11
If imperialism is a result of capitalism, then what was the USSR doing in the middle east?
It really makes you thinkā¦
supporting revolutionary movements to overthrow the local ruling class.
It was there invited by the goverment
Poland invited them too, right?
The fuck are you talking about?
Get the fuck out of here you liberal. You are probably homosexual too
yes
No. What America deserves is for an advanced alien civilization to completely neutralize their entire military, seize control of every significant aspect of their government, and drag them kicking and screaming out of the stone age. No death. No torture. No punishment. Just repeatedly explaining to them precisely how badly they have been fucking everything up and how little they can be trusted to govern themselves.
