Word. At best you kill a few politicians that will maybe inspire the population to revolt; at worst you make an ass out of yourself or scare the population enough to convince them to live in a even more totalitarian society.
And in all scenarios, you lose a good comrade whose dedication could've been used for more, quantitative and qualitative, work.
