Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Democratic Congressman Eliot Engel both said the shelters were “like summer camp.”

‘Hunter Killer’ killed in Ukraine for glorifying Russia but may not make it to Moscow screens either
A Pentagon-backed Hollywood action film about an intrepid US submarine has been banned in Ukraine, apparently because it’s too complimentary of ‘villain’ Russia’s armed forces. The flick also faces hurdles in Russia.
Hunter Killer, which opened on October 26, tells the Department of Defense-approved story of the US Navy rescuing the kidnapped Russian president in an effort to avert World War III

UNGA Overwhelmingly Votes Against Cuba Blockade, All US Amendments Defeated
United Nations member states voted 189 to 2 to condemn the nearly six-decade U.S. blockade of Cuba, Israel being the only country to side with the United States to maintain the economic blockade on the Caribbean nation.Since 1992 the resolution to end the 1962 U.S. blockade has been voted on in the U.N. General Assembly and each year it is barely maintained thanks to the U.S. vote.

The EPA Says Farmers Can Keep Using Weedkiller Blamed For Vast Crop Damage
For months, farmers from Mississippi to Minnesota have been waiting for the Environmental Protection Agency to make up its mind about a controversial weedkiller called dicamba. Some farmers love the chemical; other farmers, along with some environmentalists, consider it a menace, because it's prone to drifting in the wind, damaging nearby crops and wild vegetation.

GM makes record quarterly profit as US corporations accelerate cost-cutting
General Motors saw a 25 percent rise in third quarter profits to a record $3.2 billion, the US automaker announced Wednesday. The spike in profits, despite falling sales in GM’s two largest markets, North America and China, is the result of relentless cost-cutting, which has been enforced through the collaboration of the United Auto Workers (UAW) union.

The Struggle For Rent Control
Every month, tenants in more than 14,000 California rental properties fork over huge portions of their paychecks to Blackstone, a Wall Street asset-management company that’s notoriously reluctant to perform maintenance duties. This year, Blackstone has been throwing millions of dollars of that money into the fight against Proposition 10, a ballot measure that would pave the way for rent control across the state.

Genetically engineered viruses may become the next generation of warfare
Many technologies have dual use potential and can be applied to either civilian or defense projects, depending on the intent of those in charge.German rocket technology led to the creation of V2 ballistic missiles in WW2 and later enabled the US to launch space exploration missions in the latter half of the 20th century. The technology also helped the US develop its own ballistic missile program.Nowadays, US scientists at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) are working on a project called Insect Allies which will use insects to infect crops with genetically modified viruses that edit the crops' genetic profile to make them more resilient against disease, as well as natural and manufactured threats to the food supply. It is not clear how the insects' flight paths would be controlled to ensure they only infect designated targets.

The New Global Tinderbox: It’s Not Your Mother’s Cold War
When it comes to relations between Donald Trump’s America, Vladimir Putin’s Russia, and Xi Jinping’s China, observers everywhere are starting to talk about a return to an all-too-familiar past. “Now we have a new Cold War,” commented Russia expert Peter Felgenhauer in Moscow after President Trump recently announced plans to withdraw from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty. The Trump administration is “launching a new Cold War,” said historian Walter Russell Mead in the Wall Street Journal, following a series of anti-Chinese measures approved by the president in October. And many others are already chiming in.

Why exactly is this Khashoggi thing such a big deal? Pretty sure this isn’t the first time the Saudis have killed a journalist.

Because, it's extrajudicial murder in a foreign countries borders. Turkey is hyper nationalist right now, and they take it as a hostility. Seriously, the world is one giant flashpoint right now, and this is the kind of circumstances and bullshit that will get your raggedy ass drafted into WW3.

I sleep.
REAL SHIT?!!!?!??!?

t. the international community

Saudi Arabia started talking to China a week before the murder. Turkey was triggered because one of its propaganda agents was killed, the rest of the world is bandwagoning to stop Saud making ties with China or is doing out of well-placed but at the same time craven moralism.
I mean tbh critically support it, it is a good foreign policy victory in the UK since Corbyn has been talking about selling arms to Saudi and suddenly everyone is against it: which vindicates him once more.

Because Khashoggi was a WaPo columnist and member of the DC establishment foreign policy club.

Then why did they kill him? If he was part of the liberal establishment media then he should have been pro-US/Saudi imperialism.

Personal animus between him and MBS.

Firstly, you have Turkey itself ensuring that information hits mass-media. This means that people will listen.

Secondly, Turkey is not dumping everything in one go, but delivering in small bites. This ensures that story is not washed away from public consciousness by new events, but stays in focus and keeps drawing more attention (and then necessity to respond - which also helps to keep story alive).

Thirdly, unlike in previous episodes, US is either unable or unwilling to keep Saudi royals (who are - to put it mildly - fucking animals) from being shamed in public. So now Saudis are also getting what was long overdue.

Finally, you are not supposed to dismember people in the embassies (especially if they willingly walked in; at the very least, you have to kidnap them). This doesn't have as much to do with laws or morality, as with the fact that ruling class traditionally considers embassies as their neutral ground (safe spaces, if you wish). But Saudis demonstrated to everyone that their safe space is decidedly unsafe. Hence the international elite takes it personally: Saudis are infringing upon traditions that support the absolute right of ruling class to be safe.

Against peons nobody gives a fuck about. None of big wigs could be affected by this.

absolutely based

Why would the bother building concentration camps when they can just deny entry in the first place? Do you realize how stupid you sound?

Watch the speech yourself, dumb ass. They're building tent-cities for a reason

I don't disagree, but there are 4 things happening.
1) Turkey slow leaking morbid details to keep it in the news and punish Saudi Arabia.
2) He was an American journalist, and this is also a method of how Americans exert exceptionalism. (i.e. look at this brutish country using assassination politics)
3) The West is pressuring SA for reforms, and are becoming less reliant on them.
4) It's a method of undermining Trump and Jared Kushner.

That was from Trump's speech. That user wasn't making it up. If anyone sounds stupid it's that President they have in America.

Agreed. A smart President would not allow tens of thousands of unskilled and dirt poor foreigners who do not speak the language to be permitted entry into the country in the first place.

4,000 people is a literal drop in the bucket in view of all of the people who enter the United States annually. Trump's quite obviously exploiting this to fire up his base before the midterms, hence the fascistic speech he gave today where he essentially threatened these people with death and camps. Does leaving a country destroyed by American imperialism and coups for better conditions deserve a potential hail of bullets and detainment? No amount of walls, soldiers and concentration camps are going to stop the movement to North as long as Central America is an underdeveloped shithole and better conditions are available in the United States. If I were one of these people I'd be hopping the border too.

That's such a strawman, and basic election propaganda. So many people are trying to sell the anti-migrant propaganda in order to help your magnificent candidates like Ted Cruz get elected. You have a population of 400 million, and thousands of square miles of undeveloped land. Between your American controversies like the war on Christmas, people kneeling for the national anthem and large scale military action against a group of migrants. It's apparent Americans are fucking easily manipulated morons who don't give a shit about tools of liberty… America is a joke.

They do not have a right to mooch off of the United States just because we are marginally more successful. The US is a shithole compared to most of Europe, but we aren't fleeing for "better conditions".

Guatemala has tons of undeveloped land too. If that was all they needed then they would not be knocking down the doors of the USA. They want a free ride on US social programs, and they want to make the tax payer provide it for them.

This is a spook
I don't think you understand how big the disparity truly is.
I've been to five or so European countries and the gap is not that big. America is by no means a victim of imperialism or a third-world country

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (585x371, 373.61K)

Reality says otherwise

This immigration shit you guys are obsessed about is such a nonsense issue. I suspect the only reason most Americans care is that they are obsessed with abortion issues or the Republican party. You have so many bigger fish to fry over there. Why even bother caring about politics at all if you're going to obsess over nonsense like culture wars, football players kneeling, Venezuela and migrants? None of those issues will do a damn thing to improve your life.

American politics is pure spectacle and more hobbyism than people caring about actual issues or positions.
t. trapped in this hellhole

Up until Israel pays them more

Poverty isnt about how much money there is, its about material conditions. In capitalist societies money is used to quantify material wealth. Its just meaningless paper by itself, so in a sense its a 'spook', but it indicates low material wealth.

using genetic bio weapons is risky, for once microorganisms both share and steal genetic material, so unintended and unpredictable consequences are likely, also for macro-organisms like humans the barrier to entry for bio-hacking is rather low, and while developing such weapons is difficult, collecting a sample and modifying it is not.

lol OOPS i did it anyway looks like i actually had the "right" all along!

What social programs? There are hardly any. The ones we have are fucking jokes. This place is Thunderdome.

What does Zig Forums think about this? Is it a legitimate worker protest that should be supported or bourgeois feminism?

He was involved in a thinktank whose motivation was "reforms" in the saudi economy, that's part of the personal falling out between him and MBS because I think he was working with a rival to the throne under that pretext. Not 100% on the details
