Security and comfort are situational states, they're changing. A starving female would give her affection to a providing man. A rich bitch would change her partner for a more comfortable/wealthy environment. There is no concept of love in those decisions. It's more realistic that humans can learn how to love, but that makes it a) an artificial construct and b) a state of feeling that can mean millions of things.
In short…love is just a silly catchphrase.

I didn't miss anything, and his deduction is spot on, BUT he chose to use the word love, so I have to call him out for it. Love doesn't exist in nature. Enjoying each others company is a state that can be archived after the natural instinct made the selection to engage with each other. One cannot love a partner because of love itself, but because what one get out of the relationship. And all these states together were coined love, a construct rife for outside exploitation.
