/leftybritpol/ - shooting fireworks at 1am edition

There is literally nothing better than waking everyone up in the morning by shooting Roman candles at dickhead cats - and anyone that disagrees is probably a Lib Dem.

Post about your experience terrorising your bourgeois kulak neighbours with fireworks here.

This is the thread for Real Brits. Set one off for me tonight lads!

That doesn't sound too bad, I heard about the summit. What was it like with 60~ attendance?

Oh fuck rocket lad ruined my Moaty appreciation thread.

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (300x180, 93.76K)

Look I appreciate blackflag rocket lad shitposts but what did they ever do to you?

Raoul Moat: Anarchist superstar or Gammon incarnate?

Let the public decide!

I love cats but sometimes you've gotta organise against them and their owners otherwise you may as well let Makhno surrender to the Bolsheviks
This is why we have late night fireworks

Gammon

I love giving American soldiers PTSD flashbacks. Hopefully they kill themselves.

I know we're able to outnumber the military, but are we institutionally equipped to fight off the FBPE type liberals that will use our discontent to further their goals? Are enough leftists aware of the EU being a piece of shit?

Are you the guy that kept going on about how you want a Military coup to happen so you can LARP as a Sandinista or some shit in /leftytrash/?

That sounds half way there but after a bit the only purpose of my shitposting in leftytrash was to upset the Polish man in a dress. Also fuck off you obvious mod.

Are you feeling okay? Has your paycheque come through?

I still can't get over the fact that FPBE stands for follow back pro eu. It's more stupid than I could have imagined.

I'm left in the past trying to get my head around why my internet has slowed down to a crawl since calling out this Khmerfag mod.

FBPE deserve the gas chambers if anyone does. It's basically the global wrecker symbol.

FBPE single handedly got all the students in my momentum branch to go from strong supports of remain into die hard leavers. In terms of the general labour voting population the moment you point out its just a lib-dem front they stop caring. Only Blairites buy into FBPE shit

Are you telling me you'd have the heart to send this little fluffer to the gulag?

Yes

I showed you my cat, agree with me…

It's just becoming so tiresome isn't it?

Whenever i see a FPBE tweet I immediately keep scrolling

Socialism with Yorkshire characteristics

COULD SOMETHING BE MORE BASED?

"Now now Gromit, you can't overthrow the bourgeoisie on an empty stomach!"

ALL HAIL CHAIRMAN WALLACE

COMMUNISM WITH MOON CHEESE CHARACTERISTICS

On a real though, I hope this helps set a precedent: they entered into cooperativisation as an explicitly to help prevent buyout by large American companies. This could really tie the concept of worker ownership to either nationalism or to localism, and if it works well it could be copied. We must critically support Aardman in their fight against Holywood imperialism.
Aardman is anti-yank gang.

GENERAL SECRETARY GROMIT SHOWS US THE PATH

So Lord and Sprotoxon (the founders of Aardman) currently own 75% of the company (which is a Limited Company, so no publicly traded shares. I do not know who owns the other 25%). Their plan is as following:
Put the 75% of the shares into an employée owned trust, which pays out profit dividends on a yearly basis for all full employées and freelance workers who have worked for more than 3 months.
Management will be divided into two layers: there will first be a board of directors made up of those with managing roles (creative director, executive producer ect.), there will also be a workers' council (although the details of its relationship with the board of directors and what powers it will have I cannot find). This is what is called a two-tier co determination system. It is somewhat similar to a German Betriebsverfassungsgesetz, although they tend to be specific to a shoot-floor and elect the 50% of the boards they are employed by, not keep the board of directors in-check itself as a whole workforce.
Also one titbit, I am pretty sure this will apply equally to a cleaner as it does to an animator, so that's pretty gnarly. It is actually more radical than than what McDonnell proposed at the Labour Party conference: which was 10% state in a company with 33% seats on a board.

this is a Wallace and Gromit thread now

I legit read that in Peter Sallis' voice, kek

He had a good run, was still pretty sad when he died though.
Regardless, here's hoping Aardman sets a good example: it is already a lot better than John Lewis considering the board of trustees is meant to be directly elected by the workforce.

[muffled Red Flag in the distance]

tbh I don't know much about their work other than the dog and inventor story. What are their best works?

Aye, shame that Last of the Summer Wine is no longer on the air, would've made a damn fine tribute episode for him

Tbh your cat's not that cute and all I can do looking at it is think about how it will one day die likely never having truly fulfilled any purpose - or even if it doesn't, millions of cats and dogs will be born and will die bred for some beauty or loyalty or love only to fall into neglect and lose their innocence and slowly die as their owners lack the patience or understanding to give them adequate attention. Their last rotting days, they will become a burden, never fully having the chance to be anything else. Their bodies will fall apart, then their mouths may fall open, their fur will become matted, and if they were blessed with the intelligence to even do so in their breeding they will ponder blindly over their loneliness and wonder why their life should culminate in so little purpose and so much incredible pain.

Wallace and Gromit (the dog an the inventor one), there's 4 long form TV productions and a film feature length film.
Chicken Run (The great escape but with Chickens)
Early Man (A sport film but about neolithic men playing football)
Pirates, in an adventure with scientists! (a pirate comedy, watch the british version the american dub is fucking awful)
And finally their greatest work: the music video for Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer. youtube.com/watch?v=OJWJE0x7T4Q

Excuse me, what the fuck…

nice edge lmao

You okay mate? Feeling alright??

For what purpose?

Holy shit I just learned that there's going to be a sequel to Chicken Run

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_Run#Sequel

Dunno man, I don't try to understand burger logic. Perhaps they couldn't understand the accents?

Honestly not sure what to think about it tbh, I don't think it needed a sequel: it is pretty much perfect as a stand-alone Great Escape parody.

One can only hope.

Any anons here from Preston? Any of you lot got any knowledge with the Preston model?

I honestly don't get how he can be so based sometimes.

That's fucking retarded though. We need a state for proletarian class dominance.

I Understand that the whole "Peoples vote" shit was just some weird plot by Liberals to scuttle Brexit but is having an actual popular vote on the Final deal actually a bad idea?

pic related. T.Blackpool.

Attached: disgusting.jpg (600x450, 84.39K)

Feasibly it is impossible: the fasted organised referendum in British history took 40 weeks and that was over Good Friday.

...

So googling "in and against the state", it looks like he's referencing a book published in 1979 about the contradiction between the state as an institution of class domination and the state as a social service, calling for the democratisation and de-bureaucratisation of social services.
So yes, based.

Logistically impossible, there literally isn't enough time left now to set one up, even if they started working on getting one right now all may has to do is refuse to postpone the UK actually leaving and we come out before they can have the referendum

Also another referendum is a really bad idea, if leave wins again it will send a message to the various breeds of reactionary filth inside the British establishment that the brakes can come off the rape train immediately, if remain narrowly wins by some neolib miracle then leavers will feel like their original vote has been ignored because rich people didn't like it (they'd be right but not for the reasons most of them would think) and a lot of them would shift from a bit racist, quite pissed off to very racist, FUCKING LIVID

The single biggest driving force behind the vote was migration and a false sense that foreigners were benefiting at the cost of normal people, instead of rich people of all colours benefiting at the cost of literally everybody else

It also puts corbachev in a bad place, he's pretty much always been leave, as have most of his inner circle, but a lot of labours vote at the minute comes from young people that think they can somehow get socialism and stay in the EU, him being forced to pick a side will either make him look like a massive hypocrite/alienate a large portion of his voters

On the younger voter front (i mean u 35 here), I think a lot of minds have changed from a few points. First there is a "just get on with it" factor, secondly the arguements for lexit have actually been put forth now. Finally, a lot of people who have to choose will go for Corbyn over Europe: they care about wages and homes, both of which aren't related to the EU.

The worst thing about lexit is that you know the EU obsessed weirdos on places like ukpol have seen the argument for it and are just flat out denying one has been made because they're filthy opportunists.

It seems like some people are trying to pass off the greenfell tower LARPers as black humor. I am not that in touch with European humor but isn't black humor supposed to self directed if not directed to everyone?

No, the more pressing point is that the black humour is funny.

This is an example of it done well.

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (1200x1107, 1.52M)

Not really that funny tbh but I understand the sentiment

Attached: 1541694639867.jpg (474x497, 38.45K)

It's like a ten year old pic, it was funnier when 7/7 had recently happened and people were shitting and farting over it.

Also 9/11 images like that were really common back then too.

Frankie Boyle is black humour, you know "how many dead hookers can you fit in a garage? 2 more if I move the bikes" kinda of stuff. Burning an effective effigie is not black humour.

I mean that's also mocking people who get overly patriotic about those kind of events, rather than the victims themselves.

Yeah you're right. It would be a pretty ballsy move to do it just to get arrested to prove a point that the police care more about internet outrage than the poors burning to death though.

It backfires too because everyone thinks you're a cunt.

True but you're not going to be able to talk your way out of it when you're some Tory sperg. If some very edgy leftists did it then it would be easier to pivot.

Oh shit

As if Blackpool is any better

Okay fucking what?

Do you have a substantial number of greek students or something?

How can Brits help the Greeks? Go network with them and tell the cool ones about this place.

I've never met a greek person at my uni, though apparently the city has a lot of Greeks (and Greek Cypriots also): so I dunno, may it's expat run?

Dunno, I imagine a Corbyn gov might forgive some debts or something but outside that I honestly don't see much they can do. Momentum does have links with ex-SYRIZA ministers though (I saw one at a Momentum-run event).
I tend to avoid university politics like the fucking plague and ngl, I doubt a hardcore ☭TANKIE☭-fest is my kinda deal.

Yeah this is probably why. The KKE sections abroad are primarily intended for Greek citizens living abroad from what i can tell.

Are there enough to form a branch of the KKE though? There are 60k Greek born people, an estimated 400k ethnic greeks, in the UK as a whole. Is that enough for a KKE section? Especially since the ethnic lot won't all identify as greek not be involved in greek politics (I mean heck, that number includes fucking Milo). I'll try to do some more digging.

Thats kids stuff. Out in the small towns in the US we still blow of quarter sticks once in a while for fun. Can't do it in the neighborhoods after dark but on a sunny day on the weekend most don't have any problem with a loud boom or two.

ITS BEEN DAYS

Also tbh, nice to see an interviewer that lets him make his point for once. LBC is actually decent.

Yeah but a lot of these foreigners were pols. So it wasn’t really racially motivated. And if bunch of pic related flooded my country I’d be a xenophobe to.

So is a bad deal pretty much confirmed? Politicos from every party are firing off on twitter about what it means but nobody but cabinet and the 1922 committee have actually seen it yet, don't think may could pull of an actually good one though

Attached: proxy.duckduckgo.com.jpeg (480x360, 26.21K)

Biggest terror attack in British history (by dead). It happened the day after London won the Olympics, I remember the image of the blood covered wall near one of the buses the was bombed. Was a pretty big event.

Well then…

IMO it seems like a pretty good deal, the ERG just want to crash this economy with no survivors. We'll see how the cabinet react to it today.
Also fucking kek at that picture.

Honestly if it's a customs union, N.Ire in SM with a port border to the mainland, with state aid and nationalisation rules not passing over, there's quite literally no better deal.
If May tries to go for a four freedoms Brexit she needs to be taken out back and shot immediately though.

I agree tbh, this is a good pro Lexit deal

Shame that the remainers might wreck it.

The leavers might wreck it too…

#Wrexit - We're all wreckers now

Gagen Brexit, Gagen die EU.

Also man, I live in a heavy remain are and my CLP facebook group is going insane right now.

some just wanna watch the world burn
