Lenin begun with "League of Struggle for the Emancipation of the Working Class" which united 20 "obscure conversation groups" (reading circles). After tiny and obscure Marxist party was created, he soon split off with the more radical part of it.

Joining some populist "Left" Liberal mass movement (which PSL also is) is literally the opposite of what he would do.
