THE UNIVERSITIES ARE CONTROLLED BY MARXISTS

What the fuck do right-wingers think Marxism is? The only politics I’ve encountered in my university so far is just more banal liberalism outside of ONE history class , where the dude was definitely Marxist-influenced to some degree an a low-level English where the professor mentioned (and distorted) briefly “Marxist analysis” along side bullshit like “queer theory”. I fucking wish Marxism was as influential as right-wingers claimed. It’s to the point where being a Marxist essentially makes you “that guy”, with one reactionary friend going

Marxism is when you make middle-schoolers twerk and have women and men crossdress.

Marxism is when you kill all white people in every university and then fill the unis up with immigrants so you can summon the Frankfurt School of Satanic Universal Basic Income from the depths of the Liberal Nether world to appease V.I Guevara of the democrats.

Marxism is where your child becomes a tranny and is raped by Muslims.

Marxism is the doctrine for the destruction of White Christian Men and their transformation into submissive femboys

Marxism according to right wingers:
Nazis
Liberals
Conservatives
Ancaps
Nationalists
Monarchists and traditionalists

Communism is when you're to the left of Attila the Hun

...

As someone who went to a college, my impression is that communism is more often just spread by students. Like, the library at my school had some books on leftist history, but it also had extensive tomes on religious history. I distinctly recall reading about Frida Kahlo's revolutionary activity and then like reading a summary of how some saint was martyred. Meanwhile, neither was present in our courses - the only teachers I had with open political opinions were a Bush-mocking liberal and a dude who criticized someone's presentation on Global Warming for not taking "climategate" into account. One of the textbooks actually had an essay about how biological racial differences contributed to likelihood to commit crimes, too.

Oh, but I'm forgetting - there was a bathroom stall where, inside was scribbled something about how Trotsky and (I think?) Mao sucked but Stalin was gr8. This is about the level at which any actual active Marxism of any kind was occurring.

I’ve had a couple of professors who were actual Marxists, with one being a philosophy prof who was a Frankfurt school type, and the other teaching political science and being a hardcore ML who wrote a book on Lenin, bumped into Foucault in Paris while attending a student rally in May ‘68, and had lunch with Zizek at a conference once. I also have one who is French and comes from a family of diehard PCF supporters, and is very well versed in Marx and Hegel, but she isn’t a Marxist. The ML teaches the course on Marxist political theory which I’m taking right now, and owns plenty of libs about imperialism and liberal “democracy”. Apart from them the rest of my profs are just liberals.

My Uni had a bunch of anarcho-feminist shit and stupid "kill cops" graffiti. It was really cringy and dumb..

I FUCKING WISH

Change in any form. New clothes that kids today wear? Marxism. A different actor playing James Bond? Marxism. Changing meanings of words? Marxism. Getting old and not being able to make their peepee hard anymore? Marxism!

They literally think any form of nonwhite identity politics is Marxism. Yes, they're that stupid.

I am from a country with a large leftist and union tradition
Tbh i do think most of my teachers were leftist to different extent
Ironicly my most political teacher was a spooked(muh macedonia greek, muh evil turks/germans/wtvr) yet vocal anticapitalist(he neither liked nazis nor communists tho)
I remember my philosophy prof talked about many marxist thinkers and he like many pomos
Thats that we knew some of them were leftist but they rarely talked to us about politics
In general i dont understand why rightards whine..

This, but unironically, I've seen a lot of Marxist and idpol stuff in college, and it's openly praised by the institution itself, which really makes my almonds activatr.

Its funny how centrists parrot this conspiracy and deny they are reactionaries when this whole scare was also spouted by George Lincoln Rockwell.

Ironic

t. saw a non-white at school once who wasn't shot by a professor therefore marxism

Marxism is when you see a black man and a white woman on the TV screen at the same time

"Almond" is right, since you can't even fucking spell "activated"

...

Well there should be solidarity between all workers, regardless their "race".

Marxism is soy milk

I've seen stuff in college too, except it's not marxism it's """"marxism"""" which is basically some liberal's beliefs with vague marxist stuff in it that they call marxism. Even then it's not widespread at all and you barely hear about it.

Most, if not all, health / medicine degrees involve a Marxian class analysis to identify differences in healthcare, sociological, and epidemiological aspects of health. I wasn't that into Marxism back then, and I think it was the first time I actually read his work. The course coordinators all seemed quite open to Marxs work regarding its validity within the subject matter, but they weren't handing out the communist manifesto, if you get what I mean.

People are way too afraid of Marxism, critical theory, and social programs. Anything that even loosely resembles socialism in the SLIGHTEST way gets them super triggered because muh states rights and muh freedom of "choice."

It's so fucking frustrating how brainwashed they all are.

Holy shit, for real?

Had an openly marxist history teacher in high school. Dude was running in the local elections for the Revolutionary Communist League, I shit you not. My high school also had an economics teacher who was a marxist. Both were considered good and competent teachers in a right-wing catholic bourgeois as fuck institution.
Then university. In history, all historians are familiar with marxist concepts and largely use social class to analyse society even if they're not politically in favour of marxism (old generation marked by the USSR might explain why). A fair amount of historians are openly marxist however.
In philosophy, about the same, really. Everyone knows the general ideas of Marx and being marxist is the bare minimum. Now I'm aware this is kind of a unrepresentative group, but it's getting fairly mainstream in the academia now.
Now true radicality is not Marx's exclusivity, there are other radical thinkers that are criminally underlooked.

It’s really not surprising that people in those fields would be familiar with Marx. Even if you don’t agree with him his work is still highly important and influential. Ignoring it would be like studying physics and not bothering to learn general relativity because you like quantum theory better.

You must live in Urop or Russia or something. That said, even in America, I've noticed that the history department actually takes Marxism more seriously than the others. Probably because historical materialism is obviously right, and because serious historians know the Cold War history narrative is bullshit.

Yes, Western Urop.

Uphold the immortal science of Marxism-Femboism

When I was at uni anything political was just neoliberal careerist shit, and most of my fellow students were edgy "south park" liberals or lolbertarians. One of my lecturers indirectly praised Bernie Sanders but that was the most left anything got (and that's barely left at all).

Anyone who knows anything knows Marxists were purged from the academy from the 60 onwards

America may crash and burn, but from the ashes the glorious red phoenix will rise.

Reactionaries & fascists aren't exclusively an American issue, it's just that they're a lot more loud, obnoxious, and disgusting. Hopefully one day we'll get our way.

Please kill yourself

Kill yourself and everyone around you.

my university praises idpol but cites marxists with student misconduct as much as possible. can we switch colleges?

At my school the Marxists were the only students not allowed to use the designated free speech zone. Even evangelical cultists not from the school were allowed to use it.

The bodycount from purging USA of all reactionary elements starts at 100 mil. and only goes up.

This is too good. Can you share more? What was the school's "justification" for the policy?

I guarantee you the people who whine about the Frankfurt School never read the Frankfurt School.

spot on

My university library has sections for ideological texts about fascism. It's not like the right wing is censored, you can find all sorts of conservative ideological books in the library ranging from neocon to nationalist to fascist to monarchist. If I wanted to I could check out The Doctrine of Fascism at my school library. Where is this supposed censorship?

You're allowed to be a right winger on college campuses, but you're not exempt from criticism. Say/do stupid shit, and people will call you out, but it's not like you'll get arrested or expelled unless you're being a violent asshole. Where do these notions come from?

Bump true.

i remember when the postmodernists gulag'd turning point usa and the young republicans, was very tragic and over 100 gorillion casualties

oh wait that was in my wet dreams not irl

Pretty much the same in northern Europe. History and philosophy are the two fields where Marxist thought is very influential. That said, this isn't some new development and it's more or less confined to those fields outside of a few fringe elements. I once did a history project back when I was in gymnasium (high school for you burgers out there) where I made a Marxist analysis of the Peasant's War, and the teacher evaluating me joked that history was the only subject where I could get away with that stuff, because historians are the only ones who still take him seriously. So no, I don't think it's getting more mainstream in academia.

You don't understand. There was basically a time where Marxism was omnipresent in academia (1950-1965) then as the USSR collapsed, nobody really claimed the ideology for themselves and most tried to distantiate themselves from it as much as they could to protect their careers and opportunities.

Marxism is a multifaceted assualt on the working class by tying them to the idea that if they work for free everything they get will be free. Meanwhile the upper echelon get their free labor, the working class are chained to factories making useless garbage because they have no passion (passion is a tool of capitalism yaknow) meanwhile the family is destroyed, your personal borders are eroded and eventually every last ounce of your humanity is squeezed out for the final penny before you are left destitute and cultureless unable to resist the international banking cartel that funded and creates your movement.

nobody's saying you have to work for free dumbass. besides anarchist utopians, those aren't even considered marxists.

Lmao nobody is saying this. Read Critique of the Gotha Program.
Lmao no wage workers have passion for what they do, the vast majority of people despise wage slavery.
All ML states did the literal opposite of this.
Socialism made people richer and provided robust funding for the arts.
Ah yes, the movement that wants to eliminate porky banks and gulag the people who run them is actually funded by those same people. Meanwhile you cunts get funding from porkies on a regular basis and constantly shill for Israel.

The issue is the result of decades of social engineering that occurred post-WW2. People in western countries were taught that gommunizm was always hiding in the shadows, ready to pounce and rape babies and that anything that didn't align with bourgeois/capitalist ideology (which changes according to how the people require placation) was effectively gommunizm.

It died down for a while in the 90s as the elites thought that as the USSR was gone, there was nothing to worry about since major Marxist movements had lost their support in the world. Nevertheless, due to the inherent contradictions within capitalism of course everything is now going to shit and an ever-increasing number of people are getting pissed. So here we have a resurgence of this anti-gommunizm conspiracy mongering which labels everything as "Marxist" even if it has nothing to do with Marxism at all with pseudo-thinkers like Jo PeDersen spouting absolute nonsense ideas like "post-modern neo-marxism" (impossible as Marxism is not metaphysically relativist). With a great many of these people though it's turtles all the way down logic and it doesn't matter what you say.

It's all about divide and conquer, OP.

like clockwork

LOL no, we don't say that, either. Read Bakunin.
