Not really. The podcast is basically social democratic politics mixed with "problematic" humor. They're not so autistically anti-idpol that they avoid ever talking about racism or anything like that, but they regularly make fun of "performative twitter wokeness" or whatever you wanna call it. Also they've dedicated multiple episodes to critiquing idpol shit such as "cultural appropriation", "representation" in media (lady ghostbusters kinda shit), etc.
A lot of good stuff. Young anons don't understand how bleak the lefty talk scene was a few years ago. Your only real option in the U.S. was Amy Goodman droning on about the latest imperial blah blah

Not sure if that's the case. It's more a discursive position than a call for a Utopian society without labor. They're looking to fight the imperative of "going to work" in the capitalist sense. Get people to acknowledge that their jobs are unbearable, and rise up against it.
Forgot to put On Mass in the OP. I was excited about that podcast for a while after I read Continuity & Rupture, and he had JMP on first episode. I think MLM is kinda retarded though tbh.
Is it just that he hasn't made an episode in a while or did he actually quit?
This seems alright: youtube.com/channel/UCT7K5epNRg-dy8MJ8aHpxuw The guy votes right-wing nationalist according to a Reddit AMA, but he's also a philosophy graduate, and as far as I can tell right now, he has enough intellectual honesty to differentiate between communism as a belief and the nonsense that happened the USSR. I've heard him use the term "Tankie," and whatever you think of that, it indicates an understanding that there are more communists than just Soviet-lovers.
Annoying faggots who think that wanting free schools and healthcare makes them socialist
Carter Ward
Got around to subbing to some new pods today. Would be good to maybe recommend a couple episodes if possible.
Asher Cook
They’re a part of the Democrat Cops of America and frequently tote their lines a lot (eg - vote for this Democrat, support that reform), but I haven’t seen any straight up socdem attitudes from them (ie - Revolution is impossible/undesirable, we should keep some degree of capitalist market economy, etc).
The worst I’ve seen from them is this shit about stacking the Supreme Court. If you’re in a position to stack the Supreme Court, you might as well dissolve the whole government, you’ll be facing a coup or counterrevolution either way. When you make a move to seize power, you can’t pussyfoot around, you need to go all in.
Joseph Jackson
Matt is the only one that is likely radical. He is well educated in various Marxist theories and has said that electoral politics is basically football to him.
Carter Hill
True praxis
Lincoln Taylor
I think Amber is pretty radical too.
Charles Stewart
Matt is a crypto-lib. Amber is the only actual leftist and even then she is really only a radical socdem. Also she is cute despite being kind of ugly.
Andrew Martin
Proofs?
Colton Morgan
Ah yes, the very best of American Marxism: a synthesis of Kotaku Thought and Twitter Praxis, with strong Buzzfeed Fundamentals 🙄
Jayden Nelson
Care to elaborate?
Ethan Torres
Reminder to support the only truly radical Lefty podcast Cum Town
Levi Richardson
Good idea.
I recently made a thread on the topic of free speech ( ). Here's a few podcast episodes on free speech and leftist strategy:
Though their subreddit is ridden with actual socdems and liberals.
Robert Sullivan
Citations needed is more liberal than left.Their latest episode is literally "critically support idpol against all comers".
Jonathan White
They're anarcho-liberals. They use radical aesthetics and rhetoric but are extremely milquetoast liberals in substance. They have flairs of famous communists like Castro, the Black Panthers, Lenin, etc. (people they would without a doubt deride as ☭TANKIE☭s if they were contemporaries) but lose their shit pretty much anytime support for Marxist-Leninist states or movements is expressed.
I think one of them said something like "I am some kind of socialist, whatever that means today" on an episode, but yeah I agree. Most of their stuff is still great though. Their episode on human rights concern trolling was especially good.
Austin Ross
They said multiple times that they were talking about material life and death issues not shit like muh pronouns.
The thing about Chapo is they are painfully goonish (at least some actually are from SomethingAwful) and when given the choice between attacking someone for their genuinely awful actions and mocking some minor quirk they will do the latter like their threadbare masculinity depends on it.
Parker Bell
That's what's most entertaining though. Like when they read Ben Shapiro's novel or made fun of his obsession over trans people pulling out their hogs in front of little girls in women's bathrooms or simply mocking him for being a tiny person with an annoying voice. I don't need chapo to tell me why Ben Shapiro is a hack (although they will do that as well) but I don't know of anyone who has taken on Shapiro in a more entertaining way than them.
Dominic Lopez
Go back to bed, Shapiro.
Adam Sanders
what's with americans drooling over socdem podcasts with autism characteristics and stanning the average women who are part of it
Gavin Lee
Many of the "minor quirks" of right-wingers shed light on the way their belief-system functions. When you read through the awful book someone has written, you can begin to understand what narratives back their awful positions up.
Liam Martin
The only good one here is Richard Wolff
Nathaniel Rivera
Not even David Harvey? His show is even on Wolff's democracy at work website.
Brayden Brown
He's boring as fuck
Jose Sanders
Wolff has spent at the last five years, at least, literally repeating the exact same talking points about "top down hierarchical capitalist enterprises" and co-op's in every conversation no matter what the topic is supposed to be.
Ryder Edwards
They started off by pointing out that the following talking point is making the rounds: that trans rights are a "boutique issue", and that's a political dead end because you can't cobble together a majority by focusing on the specific concerns of a grab bag of minorities.
Their counterpoint is that it's a life and death issue for some people. But that's entirely besides the point they are seeking to attack. It might well be that for trans people it's a life and death issue, but that does not make it less of a boutique issue. Their votes don't suddenly count one hundredfold because they are threatened, nor does it mean you can mobilize the great masses of workers around it because of that.
Carter James
No proofs. Amber and the chapos are part of a Jacobin clique in the Democrat Cops of America that pushes for organizing M4A above literally anything else.
Nolan Cox
What's this supposed to imply?
Brody Rivera
M4A is literally social liberalism. It doesn't even make it to socdem.
Bismark was farther to the left.
Connor Jackson
So is progressive income taxation and free education for children, yet those demands are in one of the most influential communist texts ever written.
Caleb Price
Like, how the fuck do you think a socialist movement is built? You don't build a workers movement by sitting on your ass and deriding people who want to bring a functioning healthcare system to a country where people still die because they can't afford proper treatment.
Higher wages aren't socialism either. I guess demanding that through collective bargaining and trade unions is disgusting liberalism as well. I'm not saying the way Democrat Cops of America and the chapo people can be criticized but they are far more useful than any "real" Marxists who don't do shit besides being smug on an imageboard.
Henry Carter
I'm not saying that Democrat Cops of America and the chapo people can't be criticized but…*
Easton Wood
No you dumbass building a socialist movement involves getting involved in the local concerns of your community. M4A is a scam that has no ability to move forward, sucking the time and energy of dedicated comrades away from many other power building activities. (that's building proletarian power, not the power of the organization and a handful of Democrats)
If you want to be organizing for the democrats, which is all the M4A faction does, join Our Revolution.
Otherwise work with people making challenges in their own neighborhoods. TANC in the Bay area or CCWG in Chicago are both great examples of building the independent power of people to challenge the state and capitalism.
Joseph Rivera
M4A cannot be accomplished without socialists taking power, and organizing for it has done nothing but boost the profiles of Democrats who ditch us the moment they win.
Angel Fisher
There's no reason it has to be limited to local concerns. You want to build a national movement capable of running a country right?
Luis Martinez
The only way to get involved in national politics involves working for Democrats, we need to build the base for a national party first.
Grayson Cooper
It can't be just me that finds it ever more difficult to force myself to listen to or like any of these podcasts
Charles Cox
you are probably a faggot who thinks jimmy dore is socialist.
Carter Price
Jimmy Dore has never openly identified as a socialist.
Charles Hernandez
Imagine actually believing you're going to convince a bunch of lefties to abandon the welfare state as part of the electoral strategy
I got the shits on the episode when Sean went on a rant called out ‘tankies’ for supporting ‘reactionary’ anti-imperialist regimes. Hezbollah (an Iran and Syrian backed group) has done more to damage U.S and Israeli imperialism in the Middle East than ANY Radlib Anarkiddie or Troskycon group in the west, ever.
Fuck all First Worldist Wilsonian ‘Leftists’ (see liberals).
contra isn't /ourgirl/ in the slightest. she may be a lone voice of sanity in the culture wars, but she's not a socialist.
Logan Reed
The virgin Mexie: "Talks more about veganism than about class war" The Chad Goddess Sabrina:"Communism and ecosocialism, can talk about veganism without losing the focus on what really matters" Stay jelly, anglos.
I just listened to their latest episode (the one on trans issues) and it was pretty bad. I'm surprised because they usually don't fall into this kind of moralistic liberal idpol. I don't believe trans issues shouldn't ever be discussed, but I don't think that was a good take on it at all.
Jack White
who?????
Jack Perry
veganism is literally nazism
Ryder Thomas
very insightful
Aaron Fisher
RLM on a leftist program would be based.
Zachary Miller
Listening to it, it's a lot of fun. Mostly because they are making fun or youtube aut right persona's.
She's from bananaland, so you anglos wouldn't be able to comprehend her, except for that one video. She's one of the few actual marxist vloggers we have around these parts. Plus she's doing her doctorate. This is her kinotube channel youtube.com/channel/UC0fGGprihDIlQ3ykWvcb9hg
Luke Moore
It's always funny to me that they think listening to a podcast is much different to watching youtube. Like I'll just listen to something like a finbol video in background while I play video games if there aren't much visuals.
tl;dr some diptshit inheritance millionaire guy freaked out at red scare for using the word retard in typical Democrat Cops of America twitter fashion and now all the "socialists" have teamed up with him to denounce Anna and Dasha trying to mass report and ban
I've seen War Nerd recommended on podcast threads here before, but I don't think it strictly identifies itself as a leftist podcast. John Dolan's book Pleasant Hell I'd also recommend, although it has nothing to do with leftism.
Easton Adams
Pleasant Hell is a 10/10 book, and I related to a lot of it
Nathaniel Brown
Sounds really lame. That millionaire guy but also some thirtysomething women doing podcasts about their delight in using the word "retard." I want to tell them to put on their big girl pants and grow up
Ryan Mitchell
Everyone sane on the left is a demsoc who aligns with you retards for things like free school and healthcare.
Grayson Ward
It's gay as hell but at least he's getting shit for being a rich ruiner like Arpwel. Love it when Democrat Cops of America ruiners speak up so you know who to disregard forever. There's no room for trustfund babies on the left because they'll go full "uhh, actually I'm marginalised" when we go to redistribute their wealth.
Justin Barnes
Rich retard guilt larping as a rose emoji guy hyperfocuses on idpol bullshit and being a cop.
IMAGINE MY SHOCK
Evan Lewis
I still don't trust those Red Scare girls. Seems crypto-fascist.
Xavier Hall
There's no particular "delight" in using it. It's just used as most people use it outside of the "left" Twitter bubble.
