I've also been seeing ads for this everywhere, even mailers. But yeah, it's all palingenesis with the mythic lost ancient China reborn into the present to revitalize the society and cure it of dysgenic elements (the Falun Gong is opposed to race-mixing). I received a mailer a few weeks ago advertising Shen Yun with anti-communist quotes mixed in alongside "See Shen Yun live (!) on DATE at the [Big-Ass Performance Center]."
The Epoch Times, the Falun Gong's newspaper, is also deranged Red Scare phantasmagoria pulled right out of the 1950s. The German language version of the paper promotes the neo- or post-fascist AfD.
Also – the Epoch Times includes Trevor Loudon as one of its columnists; the New Zealander author of "The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress" and proprietor of keywiki, which compiles dossiers on socialists in the United States. Oddly, Loudon is a proponent of the ZAP cult which combines Scientology, Eastern mysticism and the political views of the John Birch Society.

Holy fuck, I didn't realize Shen Yun was Falun Gong. I've seen billboards for that show for what feels like a couple of years.

The Falun Gong actually secured a deal to advertise their rodeo during the weather segment on one of my local news channels. During the weekly forecast segment there are little Shen Yun logos under each day. Like: Monday, cloudy, high/low and then a Shen Yun logo at the bottom. It's insidious. I almost spat out my coffee when I saw it.
