BurgerBowl 2020

How do you feel about the upcoming BurgerBowl? With the yellow vests and Corbyn seeing gains, do you think Burgerstan will take at least a slight Left turn?

No, the American left is a bunch of retarded idealists who act like they don't put up with this sort of shit and then proceed to put up with it come crunch time. They're spindly armed yikesing faggots.

There is no left in America

Being the pessimistic burger that I am, more than likely no

No, other than Bernie all the real contenders are neolibs (and it isn't exactly like Bernie is a radical). Best bet is to sit back and enjoy the seething from whichever side loses (probably the Dems if the economy stays strong or Zig Forums if we enter a recession).

yank genocide when

good one

That shit is boring af. I'm more excited for the upcoming Copa America next year.

You're better off waiting for Red Guards Austin and the other Gonzaloite groups to run off into the woods and try to make their Sunbelt War a reality. Treat elections like they are, a spectator sport.

America is taking a hard-right turn.

I can't wait to join the D.S.A.'s armed wing

lol if you haven't yet

Bernie is going to get shafted by the DNC again and there will be a shitfight between Hilldawg and Biden. Those two will likely show their true colors and turn people off (or pics of Biden being a creep will put people off) and Trump gets a second term. Only thing that could shake up the process is economic collapse, which may well happen. The big downturn looks like early to mid '19. How Trump handles that will make a big difference in how tolerant burgers are toward the dems dicking Bernie a second time.

If Bernie was smart or sincere he'd run independent (and win the popular vote) but he's a cuck so he won't.

Nice adventurism

it's actually 2020. it takes a year of the yield curve hovering around 0 and then half a year for the economy to crash.

parts of the curve already inverted. It's six months to a year from now. Meaning next Christmas most likely, mid 2020 latest, mid 2019 earliest

lol

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (557x250, 33.24K)

inverting means a year to 1.5, though…

this shit is real? i thought people like that were fucking memes

of course it's real. bitches all want to preach but never wanna learn.

I don't even know who Kamala is.

Red guards is fed as fuck

how certain is it for Bern to run? I'm afraid he's too old

...

good. maybe a real socialist will run instead.

Despite people’s meming, there’s a chance (but I doubt it will come in 2020) for US to go leftwards. And here are some major requirements
Or the but literally impossible option

Only reactionaries and neoliberals win here

The Prime Minister of Malaysia is 93, it's never too late

I'm reposting here what I posted in another thread:

There absolutely will be a crash between now and 2025. Consider these possibilities:

- Sanders is elected. Crash happens during his term. Neolibs blame it on "socialism" and normies eat it up because capitalists control all of the media outlets.

- Trump or some other neoliberal is elected. Crash happens. Neolibs and the media can't possibly blame this on socialism, as they've been saying all along that the current policies are a revival of pro-market "real capitalism." With some luck, the Left will be in a position to capitalize on the discontent.

Now which scenario do you want?

What’s with all the naysayers?

I know Sanders was no revolutionary Marxist, but he was still considered very much beyond the pale when he announced and people thought he would fizzle out and go nowhere. Before two years ago, the very word “socialism” was an insult in Burgerland, and now it’s practically mainstream to call yourself a socialist (even if most people just mean socdem). Who knows what could happen with another election cycle. There are decades where nothing happens and there are weeks where decades happen.

Because they don't have the courage to actually go out and run for something and win people over so they just shit on the people who do for not being "real" enough.

we are gonna have to wait a while for a failure to happen within the economy before burgerland to turn to the left but even then porky will use fascism and get the far right in power as a means to protect itself

Faucialist revolution soon.

I’m not a fan of the “socialism is when you have a welfare state” crowd either, but until a couple of years ago, socialism was when the state confiscates your toothbrush and puts you in a gulag for not smiling enthusiastically enough.

If a false understanding is created it ends up getting rid of its original meaning.

As if there ever was an original meaning to the people you're referring to. Of course words lose meaning and take on new ones. That's how language works. Democrat or Republican don't mean anything in that sense either. It's not about people who believe in democracy vs. people who believe in a republic. Why do you think an obsession with history and pedantry is going to bring about the perfect "socialism" you envision. Why do you think you'd have an easier time convincing people of your vision of true socialism in the current climate than in the socdem society or whatever you want to call it?

The conversation isn’t over yet. TYT aren’t the only voices. My point is that this shit is hardly set in stone. The fucking socdems have hardly even begun to rise and you guys already act like they’ve had a thousand Year dominion over Burger politics. Shit can change fast, and will change fast as shit gets worse.

I don't think it would be easier in anyway
Infact it would be silly to say that there is any easy way of spreading socialism in Burgerlandia.
our best bet is waiting for some sort of economic crash.
socdems pretending to be socialists will not bring anything good for socialism it will only hinder it because people believing capitalism is socialism will make it so that people already believe we are under socialism
hell some people believe the military to be a socialist program

Because drastic revolutions spawning from crisis has worked so well for socialism in the past?

kinda yeah

Attached: questionmarks.jpg (600x512, 25.17K)

Which socialist nations would those be?

Literally every revolution that ever managed to actually change something was that my man.

You know, I would have aligned more with you until more recently. Take a look at the UK and France. In terms of first world countries, their proles are generally much closer to class consciousness than people here in America. The point is to keep fighting to push people further and further left and not to let your leaders cuck out the workers.

Bolshevik Revolution
Chinese Revolution

There is no USSR.
Are you one of those posters who says China is communist?

Top minds of the internet have done it again!

What? I can't comprehend your logic. You care to think about that one again?

I build a house. I do it shittily. The house falls down in a timeframe shorter than I want to continue living in that house due to events.

Maybe I shouldn't have built the house shittily? Is this hard to comprehend? What are you missing here?

...

I don't quite follow, this is too complicated for me. Do you think you could make an analogy that involves food instead?

I would give you that if you were talking about Cuba. But USSR in addition to not managing their own house was involved in dozens of blunders outside their own borders by no one's choice but their own. Also you're telling me China or Russia ever had this "real socialism" you speak of?

Meant for:

Nothing for you because you have nothing intelligent to say.

So what you're trying to say is that the USSR was like a pizza, and it went moldy?

What do you mean, Afghanistan?

And, sure, they had abolished generalized commodity production.

There's a lot more to that list. You're the USSR expert here you fill it out.
So it was real socialism? So what happened? How was everything magically different? How was life so much better than fake socialism?

I think I am seeing what you are getting at. The USSR was like a high quality burger from a nice place to eat, but it wasn't like a Big Mac, so it went moldy. Am I correct?

Why don't you try saying something instead of just repeating your same sarcastic nonsense which got no laughs the first two times you posted it? Got nothing to say?

I am just trying to get to the bottom of the problems of 20th century socialist experiments, but I see you are not interested in having an intelligent discussion.

Yeah I was having a discussion with other dude. Only thing you've added is your dumb sarcasm?

The fuck is that even supposed to mean? "Events" ??

Here's a straight forward question? Why couldn't the socialism withstand "events" if it was real rock solid socialism?

You mean a Big Mac?

You see what I mean. You got nothing to say so the only thing you can resort to is your unfunny jokes and sarcasm.

If you can overcome your butt hurt I'll ask you the straight forward question in a straight forward way again:

It lacked preservatives

I was about to get to that. So you're saying le ebil capitalism lasts longer because it's chock full of preservatives but is bad for you, but "real socialism" is great while it lasts but goes bad really fast because it's organic. Is that what you're saying? How do we deal with the short shelf life of "real socialism" when implementing a real socialist regime in the future?

You have to eat the burger before it goes off.

But what about the people who are born after the shelf life has passed for "real socialism" and want to taste it? What do they do? Just make dumb sarcastic posts on mongolian basket weaving forums?

I think they will have to buy a Big Mac

Simple, commodity production was no longer the economic (and even social) relation of society.

And what that mean the people in terms other than semantics?

Just because the house collapses eventually does not mean it was shittily built, a myriad things could have happened in the meantime to undermine its structural integrity. You just up and assume the SU was flawed ab initio without giving any argument apart from "it eventually collapsed", which is fallacious for the reasons stated above.

Facts don't care about your feelings bruv.

...

Your basic relationship with the rest of humanity was no longer one of exchange. You got free housing, free education, free healthcare, a guaranteed job you didn’t have to do a stupid subservience dance for, pastimes that didn’t come with the expectation of spending money for the privilege, etc. It was a form of society fundamentally different that capitalist society.

Y'all ain't woke if y'all don't act like a gay man making fun of black women y'all. Slay yass fierce tea.

Why do people think parliamentary systems are any better. Germany's government is as disconnected from the people as the American government is.

If the US had a parliamentary system we'd be an even bigger shithole than we are now, FDR wouldn't have be able to executive order the meager welfare state he developed.

Bernie's looking pretty good if you factor in the fact that he's much more likely to die than Harris.

Attached: Untitled.png (789x510, 112.56K)

That's pretty funny.

too bad the DNC is corrupt

Bernie was screwed by Hillary and the DNC in 2016. Now he is being addressed like a dog. Democrats should stop using drugs.

There's a good point here. Bernie is dogshit, but he still pisses Dems off. But the Dems could let him run with a "safe bet" VP and then wait for him to have a heart attack (or give him a little push) and then their guy would become president.

American politics is just the lesser of two evils, but I say the dems are better than the reps.

At least socialists are starting to have a platform in the DNC, so I guess that’s something.

Comparatively, reactionaries have been thriving in the GOP. Gradually, socialism will rise. Either that, or when the economic collapse happens we’ll see socialists will take control immediately. Just like Marx predicted.

Hello, r/CTH.

Hi

Attached: DtoZhxs.jpg (800x578, 59.05K)

lol no

DNC is starting to mobilize against the progressive threat. They'll be purged soon enough.

People who identify as "progressives" are more likely to sell you out than corporate run trade unions or right leaning socdems.

And yet they're STILL too far left for the DNC.

I think Trump is going to win again. No because there is no potential for the left to win, but because the democrats don't appeal to anyone.

the fact that the iraq war vote for so many dems went right down the memory hole is my personal most infuriating thing about american politics
the fact this wasnt brought more than it was in 2016 concerning hillary made me give up in thinking about this shit, which i used to do quite a bit

Attached: bane.jpg (423x353, 30.26K)

Alright, you made me laugh. I concede that to you, filthy bourgeois agent of destruction.

huh?

I'm convinced that crashing the burgerbowel would spark a national uprising

I'm all for shoving white guys of the stage but if we could do that without bending over for porky to fuck us in the ass that would be great thanks

Explain yourself
