sometimes i regret ever picking up a history book after high school because my country's educational system feeds us this bullshit Nice Guy Colonizer fairy tale and doesn't bother to correct it at all.
so there's a bunch of people who graduated believing Europe did us a favor by colonizing our continent. they don't have to worry about the consequences of imperialism or how their ancestors were exploited, nor how currently their country is indebted and being thoroughly fucked by 21st century imperialism.
