Forgetting the cause

I'm in a managerial position these days in a relatively big business. I spend a lot of time doing very little but when I do stuff I make a lot of money for the company. I used to come here regularly and considered myself to be some sort of socialist. Anyway, I've noticed that I care less and less about the struggle of others, I had to struggle to get to this position and I am aware that I will need to struggle to rise up further and I am now at the mindset that most people who are not in a relatively stable situation respective of their environment are probably there because they don't try hard enough or don't know how to use their time and money well. The system is fucked but sitting around whinging about it or protesting does nothing. People are capable of making the most of what they have on hand and if they don't it is their own fault. They are not in a position to complain or condemn when they themselves will not rise to the challenge, if they can't improve their own condition they do not deserve the faith of others to change the system.

fuck you man

You were never one of us

NICE ONE BOSS!

I support your struggle and I wish the utmost success for all but I'm not going to support someone who doesn't try.

In some ways, yes. I wear suits and my shoes cost more than a lot of people make a week but that is required with in this position. I went without other luxuries to secure my position.

...

Yes.
What do you want? And I'm asking that in a practical sense. Furthermore, what do you deserve?

Ah, yes, work for your boss. Maybe someday he'll promote you to boss!

The question is what do you deserve?

I have been promoted in the past 4 months. I got a 10% pay rise too.

No one "deserves" anything. Socialism is about the rational self-interest of the working class, not feel-good altruism.

Adequate compensation for my effort, time and profitability.

a just society

What do you mean time effort and profitability?

It's at your fingertips. You just need to reach for it. You will be exploited but that is business.

Ah, the cartoon world where we all have sparkly eyes and skip about the place singing.

A wage for the time, security dependent on my effort and praise for my profitability.

And I don't want to be, which is why I am a leftist. It is not like meaningful societal change is easy, after all.

Exploitation isn't really a bad thing. Tax is exploiting the circumstantial fact you live where you do. They will make more money than you do but that is just the way of the world.

Security?

...

Job security.

yeah the funny cartoon world that makes you content with entropy and fealty in liberal society

Well, not everyone is weak willed and takes it without a fight. Deal.

You're living a lie.

In the colloquial sense it is but what the term means, it isn't. Electricity companies exploit our need for electricity by supplying a product and making capital.

There is no fight.

Then you were never a leftist and probably think socialism is welfare.

If I become unprofitable and unreliable with my position I will lose that security but as long as I am good at it and keep making money I will keep it.
I don't take lunch breaks, I have had one sick day, I don't take leave, I am always half an hour early and stay back regularly without pay. Going the extra yard pays off.

If the fight actually does exist it is not of ideals, it is economic.

Yeah, I completely believe you.

you mean I shouldn't be a barista for life and make $100k a year?

There have been a few people fired since I've been there. I am on a personal level with the CEO and have been to his house and gone out with him on the weekend a couple times.

what's his dick look like?

I suspect like his cats, he has hairless sphinx's.

ITT:Fuck you I got mine.
Like the house slave who shinned his masters shoes everyday and got to sleep inside with the dogs so when the field slaves burned the house down you'll be the one trying the hardest running to the well and back crying for poor old master and his little handouts. Nothing more pathetic then a class cuck except maybe a class traitor.

You were never one in the first place since if you were you would understand the fundamental economical flaws in Capitalism without moral reasoning. Probably a radlib or a socdem.

They are there but the system will not be "destroyed", the system will fail on it's own and not in our lifetimes.

Sounds to me like you are not even working class at all.

Said so many before the great depression. The system will have another huge economic crash it's been looming for years or it'll destroy itself with climate change or automation will move in and throw you back with the rest of us where you'll be eaten alive be us.

I'm not really.

I can't see capitalism being dismantled within our lifetimes.

I can't see you dismantling Capitalism in our lifetime. Step aside and avoid the crossfire, if you can't then I won't feel sorry for you.

The difference is, with tax, you (theoretically) get back what you pay in the form of benefits. With surplus value extraction, aside from money that goes into expanding the firm, the rest goes into the pockets of the shareholders/higher executives. You're still getting exploited.

I don't blame you for making the best out of this situation. I think every leftist should try to succeed the most under capitalism, but that doesn't make it a good system. The vast majority of human beings will NEVER graduate to the capitalist class and will always survive by selling their labor. Maybe you'll be the exception, and open your own business someday.

I can't convince you to go against your own economic self-interest, if you one day become a member of the bourgeoisie. No matter what you do, we will consider to pursue ours with ruthless efficiency.

Any socialist worth his salt will aim to improve his position under capitalism while also seeking to replace it with socialism so that they can one day be unchained from capital. So that they are not slaves to capital.
A socialist fights capitalism so all can work hard and their work doesn't go all to an overlord.
A socialist fights capitalism so a better future is not a dream but a possibility.
Socialists will never, must never give up the fight or else capitalism will consume itself and us along with it.
If you stop being a socialist because you got ahead in capitalism means:
1. You have become bourgeoisie.
(and/or)
2. You have put bourgeois class interest over proletarian class interest.
Probably the latter.

In the end that means you're a class traitor and a traitor to the movement
AND TRAITORS GET SHOT.

This but unironically. Proles that don't wake up in the morning and go slaughtering the bourgeoisie can't whine about their situation.

And this is why petty bourgs are not the revolutionary class

t. George Soros
I'm not even concerned with the Soros boogeyman but engaging with the Bourgious makes you one of them, and come the day of the GANG then you'll get the first gulag gassing
Also holyshit why is there no NasBol flag, why did they remove it

If this was the basis of your socialism, it was extremely weak to begin with. Positioning oneself based on whether one feels for the economic struggles of others will entirely depend on one's own economic position rather than any commitment to truth. Thus the change.

You yourself do "very little," so how are you trying hard enough currently? "I had to struggle to get this position"; perhaps in terms of office politics, but how many people struggle day-to-day, and for many years, to maintain a family and household? Stay in college despite a poor family background and lack of money for it? From your own description, it seems like your belief system is entirely self-serving, jumping from one thing to the next depending on where you are economically.

This is such obvious self-justifying garbage that even you should know better.

...

you can be a manager without being an asshole that think of himself as above others just cause he lucked out in the grand lottery of life.
faggot

imagine comparing capitalistic exploitation to taxes
imagine being so much of a brainlet

full classcuck
watch yourself being kicked the fuck out when shit hit the fan for your health, or the company

Delusional cuck who is two paychecks away from poverty and still think he's "made it".

I cannot wait when next recession comes and bites your ass.
