I liked Foundation by Asimov a lot and I think it is inspired to some extent to marxism/leninism

Is there any other science fiction book you liked which was inspired by socialist theory and/or Russian revolution?

kys left-neocon scum

what? all Star Wars politics is clearly mostly based on Rome

Russia was the third Rome and USSR was a extension of such

I was really into Kurt Vonnegut books as a kid. i would read them cover to cover. He was a dem soc and always talked about debs.

READ LOOKING BACKWARDS
t. Bellamy Gang

so a reactionary empire which made only a few contributions to western thought compared to its predecessors and successors?

oh yeah, vonnegut also wrote a short story called Harrison bergeron that eviscerates identity politics and is a dystopia run by people who post on tumblr

I tried to read it, but I realized I really hate Asimov's writing style.

You realize that that story is a reactionary strawman of socialism frequently cited by right-wingers and fascists against left-wingers right? We read that work in school here in America alongside all sorts of other “commies r bad, mm okay?” works. They should all be forced to read Lenin’s “A Liberal Professor on Equality” at gunpoint

the ussr was reactionary?

not entirely but I think it's pretty difficult to prove that they weren't compared to the Athenians, Gauls, Anglos, and Holy Romans.

Vonnegut was a soc dem, his most famous book called slaughter house five is semi autobiographical as it talks about the time in real life he was captured by the nazis in ww2 and experienced the bombing of Dresden.

aka fascist

well i guess i know why he would write harrison bergeron now

...

imagine being this retarded

Was he actually a dresden "survivor" or was he just blindly repeating nazi propaganda?

Attached: question 5345.jpg (117x125, 2.72K)

He was actually born a rich kid and his familly lost all thier wealth. And he was forced to fight in ww2 because he couldnt defer anymore. And before he was shipped out his mom killed herself. Then he got shipped to dresden, got captured by nazis, and was placed in a slaughter house which was used as a POW containment cell. and then the allies fire bombed the shit out of the place for a few days.
Somehow he survived and then we he got out of the slaughterhouse the entire city was rubble and the germans made him and the other POW's pile up corpses

woke af

Moscow is referred to as the Third Rome via its link through the Orthodox church which was brought back by Stalin aka the Red Tzar

I've read slaughterhouse five like all good amerifats. He claims or at least implies that Dresden wasn't being used to support the nazi military. That's nazi propaganda.
Dresden doesn't not need to happen again but it certain needed to happen then. They earned the fire.

first of all my bad I read
as
in my drunken new years stupor.
second of all the USSR was hardly an extension of Roman ideology. The Senate was known to undermine any attempts by the plebeians to usurp the Roman government, in Russia literally the opposite happened where the peasants too over the Russian Empire and abolished Czardom.
If anything the USSR was a declaration of independence from Rome.

i read some article a while back about some ww2 graffiti made by a British soldier calling church hill a "stinkweed" (churchill was a drunk and would shit himself regularly) and a Zionist. also calling him out for dresden and killing women and children

establishmentwatch.wordpress.com/2012/03/07/what-people-really-thought-about-churchill/

The graffiti shows a wartime soldier turning his back on Churchill while muttering:

“hmmm you warmonger Churchill” and underneath the words: ” Drink and Smoke while we die”, while over Churchill’s head are the words: ” You stinkweed churchill you C**t “

“Stinkweed” was the wartime nickname given by Lord Halifax, for Churchill while he was drunk was reputed to shit his pants. His secretary John Colville, who even had a special quick release jump suit made like a babies pair of rompers, is on record as saying: “strange to think a babies jumpsuit may have helped us win the war, by helping our leader not sh*t himself”

A well-drawn Spitfire with RAF markings on the wings is also depicted, and is shown machine-gunning a mother with two small children standing near a German flag. This could be seen as an illustration of events in cities like Dresden or Hamburg, where Allied aircraft were reputedly ordered to target civilians amid the ruins.
