Is the DPRK Maoist or Marxist-Leninist

Can a person be a Jucheist?

What would Juche look like outside of Asia?

NK is Juchist, which is a seperate ideology to Marxism-Leninism although is partially derived from it.

Maoism is development of Marxism-Leninism.
Juche is neither.

Juche is a departure, it is Marxism with some key things revised (for better or worse).

DPRK is Jucheist and Juche recognizes Marxism-Leninism as its presupposition.

They uphold Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Stalin as revolutionary forerunners, and they aren't Maoist.

Of course. DPRK is clearly Jucheist. Other than DPRK, there are several Korean Friendship Associations and Juche Study groups around the world, which are supported by the DPRK. And also in Nepal, the Nepal Workers Peasants Party which upholds Juche as their guiding principle.

That would depend on the conditions within the country.
- Kim Jong Il, On the Juche Idea
However, it would have to include independence in politics, establishment of Juche in ideology, self sufficiency in economy, self reliance in defence etc.

I am not a fan of sectarian bans, but this one is fully justified.

why would you think they were Maoist? because Asia?

This seems like the same logic of people who think that modern China is Maoist, or that Maoists support Xi or some shit like that. I think you have to be severely retarded or deliberately dishonest to even make this assumption though.

No it isn't. People who support bans for wrongthink are bootlickers.

interesting criticism of juche, not sure what to think without reading more actual Juche and Marxist texts to compare

Not OP but curious about three things:
How does north korea reconcile autarky and nationalism with marx internationalism, if they want or recognize it?
Is north korea as racist as western media says (please I know that western media tells almost only lies about NK but I'm curious about this in particular. Bonus points for not deflecting to japanese racism or whatever)?
Is there some book to learn about its political system (not only its ideology)?
Please consider that I know nothing about the country and I am here because I'm curious, I will accept any answers, pro and against, but please no obvious MSM talking points if you have to shit on it if you can

lol thats like how fucking bat'ko made a video strawmanning unruhe as supporting China because Maoism = China and when he got called out for it cried about how "iT wAS jUsT sHiTPoStiNg" even though the shitpost made no fucking sense.

autistic screeching isn't wrongthink, it's being retarded.
maybe if they could make an actual argument instead of calling the DPRK a "imperialist shithole"
(which makes no fucking sense) they wouldn't be banned.

“Maoism” is just Marxism-Leninism where the party in question sided with China in the Sino-Soviet split. It’s basically meaningless in the modern context.

These days, “Maoism” seems to be split between the “Maoists Third Worldists”, who are people who’ve read way to fucking much into Mao’s three worlds model and “Marxist-Leninist-Maoists” who are Gonzaloites who think the Shining Path devised the highest level of Marxist science by proposing that Mao had advanced the theory to the next stage by essentially having developed the perfect doctrine by which revolution was to be carried out.

North Korea is neither of these things.

The DPRK is internationalist, their policy isn't much different from Stalin on the National Question. They continue to support revolutionaries all around the world, cooperate with Syria, Hezbollah, African countries, etc.

meme

No, that's made up.

read the archives of the DPRK thread

Fuck off retard, you act like a ban even fucking matters and you can't just go and reset your router. Bans are literally just there to tell you that you're not welcome and you should stop making awful posts. I hate faggots like you who bastardize principles of anti-authoritarianism; reducing it to childish outbursts of "You're not my dad".

They don't just say it and have always shown it from their actions. DPRK has supported groups all over the world ranging from the JVP to Hezbollah.
DPRK cares what internet Marxists think now?
Every country below DPRK in this list confirmed for shithole.

They aren't. The main source for this propaganda claim is a book by B.R. Myers which claims that the DPRK is secretly inspired by Japanese fascism. It's filled with bullshit psychoanalysis of propaganda posters among other things.
Kim Jong Il himself explicitly condemned racism.
It's also claimed that they don't allow Koreans to marry or have children with outsiders.
Yet the third wife of the American defector Joe Dresnok was the daughter of a Korean woman and a Togolese diplomat. And his sons James and Ted are married with children.

dude wrongthink lmao

I love them. Gonna do a whole lot more than that too when it's time to safeguard the revolution from reactionaries and misguided comrades whose approach takes us off the road to communism.

This kind of language is why people, with some legitemate suspicions, accuse the DPRK of having monarchist characteristics. Did even Stalin's personality cult include such reverance for the leader in particular as opposed to the revolutionary ideal?

Have you ever considered that this kind of language is alien to you because you've never had a political leader worth serious praise? Look at this rally with Mao:

The people genuinely fucking love him and they have every reason to. Chances are, you will never get to see a political leader like that in your life. But the DPRK is still struggling for their vision of socialism, and their leaders are still fighting revisionism and sanctions and siege. It's not a mystery that they believe in their leaders.
