Wallstreet and the Bolsheviks

How much of this is true, and how much of it is inflated?
I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if Lenin and Trotsky took funding from capitalist, as it isn't really at odds with the idea of capitalist giving them "the rope to hang them.". But considering how many reactionaries think this is an important point to bring up for some reason, I was wondering if there is more at play.

Some capitalist powers (Germany) and Capitalist individuals out of personal political views (Olaf Achsberg) but generally no
There was no "Conspiracy" by US capitalists or the US Goverment to fund the Bolsheviks
It both has no evidence backing it and is completely illogical considering the US's support for the white army and its literal invasion of Russia

Why did Chase Bank send the Bolsheviks 1 million dollars?(25 million today)

For the same reason they sent money to the provisional government, to fight the German army. But Lenin dabbed on these libtards and ended the war

The main problem with most of these claims is that they're based on ridiculous right wing assumptions: Ie. Wall Street is part of a communist conspiracy, revolution only happened thanks to foreign funding, Lenin is a german agent, Jewish-Bolshevism, etc. The people who donated money to parties in Russia were typical bourgeois democrats who were opposed to oppressive monarchies and wanted a liberal, free market Russia in which they could maximize their profits. They also wanted, urgently, to keep the war going, that was the allies' biggest priority. When it was clear that the soviet government was not only abolishing debt and nationalizing all industry but also suing for peace, all of the west turned against it.

I listened to the part about William Boyce Thompson, the largest shareholder at Chase who transferred funds to Petrograd in December 1917 to give to the Bolsheviks – probably important to note here that this was after the October Revolution. Here's a PDF copy of Sutton's book which goes into it. Seems like they preferred Kerensky and the bourgeois liberals but after they got BTFO'd they might as well try to deal with the Bolsheviks.

Idea being the Americans knew the Bolsheviks were going to consolidate power so might as well try to secure influence. Thompson also apparently met Trotsky in November. Trotsky mentioned in a speech in Petrograd that he met with two Americans "closely connected with American capitalist elements."

"But the point is that after all that has taken place during the last few days the American diplomats understand that they cannot defeat the Russian revolution and therefore they want to enter into friendly relations with us, calculating that this will be an excellent means of competition with the German and in particularly with the British capitalists after the war. Anyhow, we are not in the least interested in the attitude of the Allied or enemy imperialists towards us. We shall conduct an independent class policy whatever their attitude towards us, and I mention their declarations only because I see in them a symptom of the unshakeable forces of the Russian revolution and of its Government."

Anyways, I would've taken the money. Wouldn't you? Hell yeah you would

No it was to the Bolsheviks

...

Are you fucking illiterate?

one thing was the fact that tsarist russia was hostile to foregein capitalists running amock in russia so the tsar had to go,
another is the war that needed to be kept going, both in the sense of against germany and the sense of warprofiteering,
and then theres the obvious issue of levarage. but when lenin said
the capitalists and bankers of every major power sent an intervention force to russia.

I don't get how fashies claim it proves communism is a sham that Lenin took out loans he was never going to pay but it proves Hitler was legit that he was a good boy for the German industrialists and made sure they got more than their fair share when he took over.

honestly im amused when puritan nationalsocialists praising hitler get into arguments with even more orthodox nationalsocialists that say hitler betrayed the revolution when he purged the party and sold out to the capitalsits.

...

Lenin never took loans

Without sounding too much like an anti-Deutsch retard, the general assumption is >industry-man good

...

Yeah apparently the money wound up supporting some Red Cross station but I didn't read that deeply into it.

How tf could he? Russian currency was non-existent when he got to power.

are you just pretending to be stupid as hell?

dude, theres other currencies than the rubble. most transactions during the revolution were with foregein currencies like the pound, dollar or with gold.

So from what I got during the whole Euromadien thing from Russians is that Lenin was part of a Hasburg plot to divide parts from Russia like the Baltics and Ukraine. Ukraine being Nazi is because Hasburg spies went there and spread beliefs that Crimea is Atlantis proven by drawings on the sides of buildings that all of Humanity came from it that were painted during the whole Crimea crisis. The peace with Germany led to Lenin creating nations like Estonia and Ukraine that were gonna be taken by the German Nobles but the West BTFO them.

Well Russia was put under an embargo when civil war started and the White guards took control of Russia's gold reserves.

Explain

yeah because an embargo by some clowns in the goverment means people that make more than the whore parliament or senate combined will stick to it.
embargos only work for small to medium bussineses. when youre talking banks and monopoly capitalists the embargo only solidifies their share of the market.
every major power was selling arms after the war was over to the soviets in exchange for gold, oil and other exports, completely disregarding their own embargos.
and the whites didnt take control of all the gold reserves, they barely salvaged a fraction, mostly gold bullion. the bolsheviks meanwhile had everything they captured, requisitioned or tore off he ground literally, the winter palace was looted down to the last wall.

Do you know what the phrase "for the same reason" means? Seriously asking.

I wish we Marxists got paid by billionaires, things would be so much easier.
