You dont have to like Stalin but working for the CIA as a propaganda puppet makes you a traitor. I think it was mostly about daddy issues.

This. I don’t think you can fault Svetlana that much for what she did, she didn’t actually betray her father when he was alive anyways. He had been dead for over a decade and she was clearly trying to find something new. Svetlana doesn’t seem ideological at all, Soviet Russia to her wasn’t a revolutionary project but just her birth place. She basically was in normal teenaged rebellion with her father that caused her to have a default distance to him in adult hood, and after he died she was supposedly still personally hounded by old comrades in the government who judged her private decisions like who to marry etc.

Her running to the USA was probably just an escape for her to a new life away from her father’s shadow that lingered even after his death and denunciation by Khrushchev.

Horrible. Even Mahatma Gandhis pall Jawaharlal Nehru liked Stalin. Mao Zedong and Jawaharlal Nehrum representatives of half the humanity at the timme both liked Stalin, and this whore betrayed him. Albert Einstein and Nelson Mandela liked Stalin.

Seems biased
…combining popular history and biography to tell the incredible story of a woman fated to live her life in the shadow of one of history's most monstrous dictators.
…privately she was controlled by a tyrannical father who dictated her every move, even sentencing a man she loved to ten years' hard labour in Siberia. Svetlana burned her passport soon after her arrival in New York City and renounced both her father and the USSR.
…In 1984, she returned to the Soviet Union, this time renouncing the US, and then reappeared in America two years later, claiming she had been manipulated by her homeland. She spoke four languages and was politically shrewd, even warning in the late '90s of the consequences of the rise to power of former KGB officer Vladimir Putin. A woman shaped and torn apart by her father’s legacy, Svetlana Stalina spent her final years as a nomad, shuttling between England, France and the US.

That's common knowledge, you illiterate idiot.
Einstein also supported vice president Henry Wallace’s Progressive Party during the 1948 Presidential election which also advocated a pro-Soviet and pro-Israel foreign policy.

By the way, there are increasing signs that the Russian trials are not faked, but that there is a plot among those who look upon Stalin as a stupid reactionary who has betrayed the ideas of the revolution. Though we find it difficult to imagine this kind of internal thing, those who know Russia best are all more or less of the same opinion. I was firmly convinced to begin with that it was a case of a dictator's despotic acts, based on lies and deception, but this was a delusion.

I don't think she was really against Stalin. I think what happened was Khrushchev's lies fucked her up and confused her. Imagine being told all your life your father was an evil tyrant who killed 100 billion people when you know he wasn't.

Eisenstein self identified as socialist, praised Lenin, defended Moscow trials and promoted friendship with USSR. You idiots are just unable to grasp things.

Liking Lenin, defending some trials killing legit reactionaries is rad, but murdering NEP fags is useless, and trying to bolster relationships with Stalinist Russia under the banner of critical support

Context. He spoke these words in the US in the 1930-1950.

Einstein was already in trouble for what he said anyway.

“The Russians have proved that their only aim is really the improvement of the lot of the Russian people.” –Albert Einstein on his refusal to sign a petition in 1934 condemning alleged (and false) claims of murders of prisoners by Joseph Stalin.

“There are increasing signs the Russian trials are not faked, but that there is a plot among those who look upon Stalin as a stupid reactionary who has betrayed the ideas of the revolution.” –Comrade Einstein speaking against critics of the trials of traitors within the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

An anti-communist critic of Albert Einstein’s political views (a hack attacking a genius): “Einstein’s only failing was an unfortunate [sic] fondness for Stalin and the Soviet Union.” — right-wing shill Christopher Hitchens.

false equivalency, though if you must talk about churchill, Stalin and Hitler

The following is 2 excerpts from Hitler's Table Talks, recorded by Henry Picker;

"And Stalin, of course, also needs to be treated with due respect. In a way he is just a genius type. His ideal is Genghis Khan and his ilk, he knows literally everything about them, and his plans for the development of the economy are so ambitious that only our four-year plans can surpass them. And for me there is no doubt that in the USSR, unlike the capitalist states, for example, the USA, there are no unemployed… If Churchill is a jackal, then Stalin is a tiger" (p. 478 of Hitler's Table Talks).
