He may not have been a senator or congressman, or anything similar, but he was a pretty important figure.

was he a Marxist or Socialist though?

Socialist. Supported (And most likely voted for) Norman Thomas in 1936 election. Also wrote an article for the socialist (Actually DemSoc, but had some socialist leanings.) magazine "Common Sense."

Malcolm X and MLK

Helen Keller
Emma Goldman
Victor Berger

Leon Czolgosz,

I like him as a writer but very racist. Explicitly said he puts being white above being socialist. Otherwise great list. I would add

Mark Twain.

MLK is an example of someone who liberals constantly suck off but also constantly hide and obscure his leftist economic message. Same with Cesar Chavez, although he's pretty much only well known in California. But my favorite is probably Emma Tenayuca, labor organizer and communist back when almost every labor union told women and Mexicans to fuck off.

Didn't he rat out communists?

Cesar was a wannabe labor aristo, he literally beat immigrant workers and cussed them out as "wetbacks."

Eugene Debs, 1920 presidential candidate, ran when in prison.
