/eusocial/

Thread for posting about highly intelligent and based ants and other eusocial creatures such as bees, termites and mole rats that have achieved socialism millions of years before us.

One hive = one animal

Wrong. Hives are not literal hive minds, despite the name The term is bad, should be replaced with collective consciousness. Hives are based and are not a single mind

Literally arguing about semantics.

Hive insects are individual animals, as well as hive mammals such as mole rats. All individuals in these societies have their own brains and bodies, and although their only goal is to serve the collective good, and would die without help from others in the collective, they (as a collective) are not a single organism, same as a human society is not a single organism

Not but there's the formation of social autonomous entities that strive to persevere in their beings, just like animals or beehives do. Individual bees die off, same for individual ants, or humans. What kind of life will you live on your own out of society?
On the other hand we have things like nation states, institutions, ideological constructs that gain autonomy of their own and will spontaneously resist attempts to destroy them.
A single anthill can be thought as a single animal, the queen as its reproductive organs, the workers as its hands, the soldiers as its teeth and so on. It's a single organism because its parts compose themselves to belong to a greater form of self-maintaining order.

So your argument is that ant society is a single individual because they lack discord and unrest within their societies?

Yes, they are one thing in as much as it deploys a coordinated effort to keep itself existing (or increase the likelihood of itself to survive) through its individual parts.

This wasn’t funny the first five times

beekeeper here. among beekeepers it is established to see a honey bee colony as single organism. however i kinda disagree with this, because under certain conditions worker bees and drones may leave their colony of birth and join a different colony. only the "queen" (not sure why she is called queen: she doesn't choose to become a queen herself, she is working all the time, may get substituted/killed and doesn't make any decisions, all decisions are collectively made by the worker bees, while the queen and drones are kinda forced to agree) is sort of tied to a single colony, but she is also a fully developed individual still.

This tbh, far more entertaining threads get anchored.

sometimes my sperm leaves my dick to join a womans cunny and turn into a baby

workplace democracy? Wtf, I love bees now! (thosestingy bastards)

I unironically wish I could be a eusocial insect so badly. I hate being a human being.

muh Eurocommunism

Proof that eusocial insects are based and communist

termites > ants = bees >>> naked mole rats

It's the opposite actually.
Molerats (Egalitarian) >ants=bees >>> termites (caste society, borderline fascism)

Also, termites are stupid

why?

But user, through advanced dialectics we can sort out political philosophy and cooperate together as efficiently as ants do.

Molerats are sublime species that can survive in freezing irradiated vacuum while being poured acid upon without even flinching (because they can't feel pain)

Termite faggots die from sunlight.

Molerat social roles are awarded by merit from among the equals. Termite caste is assigned from birth.
