Just a thread for fun, not condoning hero worship, it's just often inspiring to read about historical leftists' vitality and the personal details that make their writings a bit less abstract.

Before you grill me for choosing a burger, hear me out. I hate America right now, it is the heart of capitalism and a shitty place to live. I'm worried about my family and all my friends who live here, I wish I could get them all to leave and live literally anywhere else.
However, we had a thread before about the American civil war where we basically established that there were only a few times America was good (WW2, ACW, and the revolution) and I fantasize about those times. Fighting against reactionaries, fascists, and imperialists are just a nostalgia trip for me tbh.
