The more anarchism in the middle east the better.

Is it syndicalist, or just succdem?

Is it me or are strikes fucking everywhere now?

Tunisia is in North Africa

The UGTT is a part of the International Trade Union Confederation which is more SuccDem than Socialist from what I've read.

How can one ethnicity be so based?

I was about to say, we have huge strikes going on in India, Mexico (with solidarity from bordering US & Canada workers), now Africa, and France just off the top of my head right now. I seem to remember something going on in China as well, but smaller.

On top of that there's been a car bombing in Derry.
Truly, the dialectics are in motion

Capitalism is going through a crisis: and the workers are realising their power.

Oh also there is general strike soon to come in Hungary.

Tbf those colours are just Arabist colours: same configuration used to be the flags of Jordan, Hejaz, and the short-lived Arab Federation.

there have also been protests in Hungary, Serbia and Romania too

The protests in Serbia are all odd to be honest
There have been protests against the higher price of gas.
Protests against the city of Nis handing their Airport to the government
Protests against micro hydro plants on a mountain.
We do regularly have Raspberry farmers protesting the prices as well.

Are we on the verge of something? Has the Arab Winter given-way to a new period of revolutionary activity?

Sasuga

what was the arab summer and autumn?

Well the Spring was 2011, Winter was set-in by about 2014 (with the rise of ISIS and the start of the second Libyan civil war), so 2012 and 2013 logically.

Calling for better wages in response to the IMF

when they could be calling for an economic system independent of the IMF

Well the British TUC is affiliated so it is alright. Also Social democracy is pretty revolutionary in a third-world context if done properly.

Reasonable scale of demand: in response to a systematic fight, you demand something small and reasonable. When that cannot be fulfilled due to the nature of the system (neoliberalism in this case), then you make more radical overreaching demands that require the abolition of the system as a requirement.

Yeah sounds nice but when does this happen?
Even the revolutions in the middle east haven't even been replaced with socialism just bourgeois democracy in place of dictatorship

Russia, 1917.
Мир, Земля, и Хлеб.

The Yellow Vests, as well

Attached: hoxha gun.jpg (960x958, 65.1K)

Aye the yellow vests are a good example of this, they've now evolved into a broad movement that realised their immediate aims cannot be conducted within the existing governmental system but must be done by replacing it with a new system.

SYNDICALISM WITH ARAB CHARACTERISTICS WHEN

To be fair lad, Tunisia is part of what people call MENA, so perhaps that poster should have said that instead, but it's not too dissimilar geopolitically to the middle east.

I'm calling it right now. 2019 will be the year of the strikes

If it's not in the workers long term interest its probably not worth supporting

Dissident Republicans have become more active a a result of the Brexit Referendum, it has nothing to do with the strikers. That being said, Ireland is also experiencing strikes with nurses and teachers.

Here's the reason we're seeing strikes everywhere: we're at the height of the economic cycle and unemployment is as low as its going to get.

Some leftists have an apocalyptic frame of mind and so they think that the worse things are the closer we are to socialism or building public support for it. But the reality is good times actually provide the working class with the best leverage against capital. It also draws new workers into the struggle, and this is particularly the case in developing countries that have dissolving peasantries.

Were you dropped as a child?

I guess it's his year then lads.

This tbh, socialism is more popular when people are employed but treated like shit: notice how it took-off following WWI where there was high employment due to war economies.

^This. Dissos mostly go around shooting former republicans and some drug dealers nowadays.
Also don't you lot have a big thing about homelessness in the South rn?

Virgin overstretching, with both a party, and union v.s Chad IWW

You w*Sternoid chauvinism is showing. Voting for Cortez or whatever is truly a revolutionary act. General strike in a peripheral country is useless. Right

General strike controlled strictly by succdems is shit.
Fuck AOC, and HBomber for letting her in as well

how is that retarded

Not really, it is over public sector pay cuts to comply with the IMF: even socdem unions tend to push that shit far.

Being treated like shit by your employer isn't "good times". Higher unemployment doesn't lead to strikes or riots because it's a byproduct of welfare state policies that keep workers pacified.

Ehh Protests about the price of petrol led to the rise of Chavez / PSUV
a car and the ability is really a necessity to live in our modern world
To take away ones ability to travel by car makes it impossible for them to stay employed

Big ups to the IMF for being so unbearably evil that it sparks revolts all across the world all the time.

most successful revolutions have worked like this. demand bread and when they cant even give you that much you have better grounds for demanding power. it needs to be a demand made by a revolutionary org of some kind with program, but these sorts of strikes and unrest springing up are grounds to cultivate consciousness of the relation of international labor to international capital

imagine being this illiterate. regardless of your ideological leaning within the left you need to study marx and probably lenin and understand dialectical materialism. there is no historical or social event wholly in the interest of one class, all events are fraught with contradiction and are potential sites of struggle.

This makes me really ashamed of my country, Morocco is a monarchist shithole with very repressive neoliberal laws, teachers got beaten up by riot police last year because they were trying to unionize.
The local population of Marrakech is now forced to live outside of the city because real estate prices skyrocketed ever since the king allowed foreigners to buy property without residing in the country, something forbidden in Tunisia and Algeria.
Unfortunately people here are US boomer tier with their monarchy support so I really don't see things changing any time soon, I'll probably just move to Tunisia someday.

Or go a bit South-West and Join the [REDACTED] Front and fight for a Independent Socialist West [REDACTED]

The Polisariofront dropped any pretense of socialism since the fall of the USSR, it's just a nationalist insurgency supported by Algeria.
I have nothing against them nor do I particularly care about western sahara, but I'd rather join the PKK or Hezbollah if I felt like fighting imperialism

MENA is a more cohesive region than the continent of Africa. Sub Saharan Africa is significantly different from northern Africa, moreso than NA is different from the ME. Just saying. Libya is in Africa too but it got the ME treatment.

Rev up the dialectics for full acceleration. World communism and the rope for porky incoming.

pure_ideology.jpg

what's the point of a party issuing demands if the union already does it?

Wouldn't the members be split between the union, and party as well?
