Liberals want idealistic equality, this is an impossible goal but they will continue for it because only by persuing idealistic equality can they justify materialistic inequality. Different humans are different, socialism is not trying to make them the same. Social equality requires legal and production equality. When these things are obtained everyone will be as equal as you can objectively make people and people will be secure with out having to worry about losing their community, dignity, or life. The stupid humans will do simple tasks, the strong humans will do more laborious tasks, people have their own unique aptitudes and abilities each, and while there are correlations of averages between subgroups these facts are meaningless because there are vast overlaps and in a socially equal society everyone will simply do something they are personally suited for.

It's undisputable that, in general, different races have distinct phenotypical traits, though. Skin is the obvious one, slit eyes, nose and FWHR differences, eye color, skull shape, height, torso-to-limb ratio, ass/tit/dick size, hair. Not really disagreeing but just felt like adding that.

Since we all agree environmental adaptation and morphological differences are real but people have qualms with semantics, why not just come up with something better than "race" everyone can agree with?

The problem with "race realism" is that human genoma is far more diverse than phenotipycal traits can describe, really. There are differences between people of distinct races, no doubt there, but there are also differences between people with distinct hair/eye color, hand sizes, height, etc. (red heads are believed to be more sensitive to pain, for exemple). The thing is: why make a case in favor of racial categorizations at all if there is so many subgroups and genetic variations? Why being a brunette isn't a racial category? Because it's political.
