Its time to end pol

I'm pretty sure I literally said we're different multiple times over and over again. My question was what is the difference that is so fundamental it can't be changed? And now you've giving me stuff about women rights and LGBT rights or whatever. The thing is the West used to be just as bad on all these issues. Being gay was pretty much illegal 60 years ago in the West. Women weren't allowed to work, women weren't allowed to vote. They we're treated just as badly here as they were in other places. So if we can change our minds why can't they? Especially when they move to places were these positions are already the norm.

But that's not what's happening, that's not what I'm talking about. If you took the population of Germany and swapped everyone out for a Saudi then yeah sure it would probably look exactly like Saudi Arabia. But what is happening is people are slowly moving in. Islam isn't going to make up the majority of any European country in this century or the next (except for Albania or Bosnia which were already Muslim). It's not a replacement it's a fusion of cultures and ethnicities. Something that has happened before hundreds of times without causing any serious issues.

I was responding to you talking about "cooperation and peaceful co-existence" by saying that that isn't the point, but the culture and laws are.
being gay is LITERALLY illegal TODAY in many cultures that you seem to not take issue with. and they show no where near the remorse or trend to change as the west
again, you're equating our past with their present. it's not "as they were in other places" it is AS THEY ARE in other places.
probably because our cultures are different. again, I know this is hard to understand, but the rest of the planet wasn't raised on the bread and butter of the enlightenment. reason and compromise and progress and such aren't as fetishized around the world as they are in the West. for a lot of countries and cultures, there are huge aspects of life you simply do not question, such as the role of women or the relationship with authority and family or God. I know this is hard to imagine for a westerner, but there are cultures that are not western and DON'T WANT TO BE WESTERN. It's hard to grasp I know.
Yeah, except norms change, and they change with the people. Like I said, culture and laws arise from the people. If the people change, the culture and the laws change.
yes, it's happening slowly, but it is happening. birthrates are also a factor.
if Europeans maintain a birth rate in the low 1.4-8 per woman then by simple mathematics you're going to have an almost 50% reduction in the native population in the space of a couple of generations. if non-europeans maintain their birth rate in the 3-5 range (which is cultural based on gender roles, contraception, and sexuality, not economics) then you are going to have an almost 300% increase in the foreign population in the space of a couple of generations. extrapolating out into the future indefinitely is dodgy, but a couple generations is not. even if foreign births normalized down to 2-3, given this major population explosion you would still have replacement in the space of one to two centuries. if the majority of these foreign born are muslim, then you will quickly have a muslim majority in Europe. "This century of the next" is just 180 years. that might seem like a really long time but it isn't at all. it's going to pass incredibly swiftly. and even if it was 200 or 300 years, given the current trends of immigration, birth, and culture, it is going to happen. it is going to be maintained. Non-europeans don't hate their own cultures and ethnicities the same way Europeans do. they maintain them. and so can we. because non-Europeans are not Europeans. they don't think act or vote like we do. culture is more than just food and music. and ethnicity is more than just melanin content.

I do know this, and I do take issue with it. This isn't about the current state of the Middle East. This is about if people from other cultures can change their minds and or assimilate into other cultures.

See this is kind of an answer to the question at hand. But unfortunately it's not a good one. Countries which weren't raised on enlightenment values have accepted human rights as a cornerstone of their society. South Africa, Japan and South Korea are pretty good examples.

Pretty much every demographic expert disagrees but okay sure. All the white people will die off and Muslims will breed like rabbits until the heat death of the universe.

What are you basing this on? African societies have changed dramatically over the last hundred years. Same goes for China or any other culture. It's not an argument based in historical reality.

"letting" people do this or that is generally bullshit when talking about politics
politics and society in general is all about forcing people to act in the way you want them to act
I mean seriously, what exact policies do you want to enact to "let europeans be europeans"? you're talking in generalities because you know that it means racial laws and shit. or will you be some kind of "humane" racist?
