You think WALL-E is a leftist film? Get the fuck outta here
/lfg/ - leftist film general
Clearly, it's not exactly 'leftist', but it does push a good anti-corporate message
Explain.
Land and Freedom
Spoilers.
At the end of the movie the main porky gives a speech about the necessity of going on with their class system, because otherwise all will be lost and everybody will freeze to death when leaving the train. Hero doesn't give a shit, kills the fucker, stops the train, because he's seen how they teach their lies and propaganda for the kids on train, and also because death would be preferable to the barbaric society they live in. When they leave the train we see a polar bear, indicating that the environment is actually habitable for humans.
Socdems interpret it as "they committed suicide" instead of trying to reform the system on the train. The polar bear at the end signifies a hostile environment and a threat to them, while hope for life to real radicals.
again, spoilers
