I think ships should be named after qualities

I think UNSC Glasgow Kiss and UNSC Do You Feel Lucky? with the question mark really drew the point home.

There was actually a second cruiser called UNSC Feeling Lucky

I think the USN should name their ships after Hollywood celebs. It would be very fitting.

We still haven't had a USS Coolidge, despite him being our greatest president and supporting growth of the navy. Maybe we're just waiting for something silent enough to be justify the name

RIP Bismarck
Also, poor Graf Zeppelin deserved better than what she got.

Bismark deserves the greatest navy of all time to be built in his name. The greatest militarist and statesman to ever grace this gay earth.
First interplanetary carrier group should hold his name tbh.

I think we should name them after historical figures, prehistoric animals, and mythological creatures/gods
HDMS Megalodon
HDMS liopleurodon
HDMS Dunkleosteus

If by greatest you mean most forgettable 20th century president

You absolute cuckold, that is exactly what makes him great. He knew to leave well enough alone unlike every single scumbag that came after him dragging this country deeper and deeper into shit.

I think both.

Give each class of ship a naming category, islands, rivers, mythological monsters/heroes, Admirals, Adjectives starting with a particular letter, even politicians. It feels suitably autistic and immediately identifies a ships role and class as soon as its name is spoken.
