That's not a religion or a cult. There is no organization, no pressure from other members. Nobody really believes in this shit, it's just what bored women do to feel special. And obviously they will drop it as soon as they find something better.

It's likely they may call themselves "Protestant," but per the rules of the board and, in all honesty, Protestant means Christian and Christian means believing the Nicene Creed, which states that Heaven, Hell, and the afterlife are all very real.
I'd add that painting Protestants at large with the same brush one paints weird non-Christians is not charitable. I see no problem in saying that the reformation and the creation of 33,000 denominations had led to these things, though.

I don't think that's good advice. Certainly didn't work on my dad, who didn't really go to church before marriage. My mom tried for 20 years but 0 results.
Seventh Day Adventists and some other groups believe when you die you are truly dead but then later there will be a resurrection and you will be alive again in a new body. That could be what she meant. Not an afterlife in the mainstream understanding as in 'as soon as you die your soul goes somewhere' but still an (eventual) life after death.
That's a totally different dynamic. Men lead. Women follow. That's the Biblical position.
