Christian Nation

...

That's a big if
matthew 5:29-30
As galatians 5:9 says
So cut it off and cast that leavened member of the body of Christ from thee.
One's entirely based off exactly what God says in the Bible. The levitical precepts and ordinances for those in the flesh and the melchisedec precepts and ordinances for those in the spirit hebrew's sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth chapters explain the difference.

Also this and this wait for revelation 11:15 to happen.

You might as well resurrect the pharisees, we've superseded the ritual laws.

Contradiction in terms I think. Here's my reasoning:

It basically boils down to Luke 9:59-60

This is strange to modern ears, but what's going on here is like a feudal lord demanding fealty. When your feudal lord needed you to fight a battle, you didn't tarry.

For instance the Gathering Song of Donald the Black by Sir Walter Scott;

Come every hill plaid and
True heart that bears one,
Come every steel blade and
Strong hand that bears one,
Leave untended the herd,
The flock without shelter;
Leave the corpse uninterr'd***,
The bride at the altar;
Leave the deer, leave the steer,
Leave nets and barges:
Come with your fighting gear,
Broadswords and targes.

Hence a Christian nation is impossible because we owe fealty to God first and foremost, no less and maybe more than Donald the Black's vassals owed him their swords. Also "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's" (Mark 12:17) essentially makes Christianity as a religion a kingdom unto itself. You can enforce Christianity as a ruler, and punish apostasy like the Muslims, but you haven't created a Christian nation.

Expel all those who are not in a state of grace and do not seek reconciliation. Theocracy

abolish death.
abolish sickness.
abolish thunder.
abolish forests.
abolish mountains.
abolish darkness.
abolish spooky basements and sheds.
abolish rivers.
abolish springs.
abolish lakes and oceans.
abolish clouds.
abolish anything that can be misconstrued as a natural spirit or goes against the idea of an omnibenevolent god, etc.

Basically I'd lock people into sensory deprivation tanks that read them the bible.
Otherwise people get thoughts like "ohh there's spooky demons in that forest I can feel them watching me."
Etc.

Seconded.

Thank you for the information presented. You gave me a greater comprehension of what is meant when Jesus said his kingdom is not of this world.
