The Absolute State of the British Army

Doesn't british army exist primarily for civilian suppression nowadays? You don't need all that many tanks against civilians/"british terrorist".

Unironically shouldn't take more than ~10,000 troops and some artillery to conquer the entire country within 3 months

Is that a cia shill using a huehue IP?

Is cool.

Oh right a burger.
Why in the name of fuck would UK fight with Russia or even more laughably the US?
Let's assume you're right for a minute and UK double it's tank force to a whooping 400 something what would it change if that were the case???

Spain is fucking bankrupt in every way but the name. They're only allowed to pretend they aren't to the whim of the biggest institutional European banks and insurances companies… AKA (((british))) ones.
The minute they try to take Gibraltar or any other bright ideas is the minute that they stop getting credits and won't have a cent to pay their own soldiers and go back to being a third world country.
FFS do you even know that BEFORE the end of the Cold War the Spanish couldn't even CLOTHE it's full complement of soldiers?
As in they couldn't afford them fucking uniforms!!! If you think things are better now after even more vicious cuts than what France and UK have known (in 1981 the army botched a fucking coup… and got caught making another one in 1982 every government since has been busy ensuring the Spanish army is completely toothless).
Also Spain is like Sweden, they've never experience WWI or WWII, the closest they've been to modern warfare was the civil war that was far more anti-insurgency combat (which they were never competent at, which explain why it lasted that long) than actual maneuver warfare. The result of this is they c/c what the US told them without understanding shit.
"You need lots of professional NCO" = sends a bunch of guys to NCO school making it a second officer corps instead of a "raised from the ground up" competent small unit leader making them completely useless.
-> "Officers need high education, ideally technical education" = military academies starts issuing college diplomas…
"You need modern platforms" = Buy modern equipment… without the industrial basis to sustain them. Let alone the knowledge basis to operate them.

The British police in Gibraltar can probably duke it out long enough with the Spanish army to wait for UK marines to arrive…

No it's not. Especially in a contested air and naval situation.
Let alone the fact that besides the US and arguably China NO FUCKING ONE ON THE PLANET can actually land even a brigade size element in one go.

Nothing pisses me off more than this. It's so absurdly difficult to get into an officer academy because the system is retarded and you're being tested on subjects that have literally nothing to do with the military. The end result is the only ones who become officers are weaklings who did well in school because all they did 24/7 in their childhood is study whatever worthless subject they were told to. Only way to become an officer should be by field experience

You want officer with technical diplomas because those are an accurate validation of logico-mathematic intelligence IE their capacity to reason in the abstract and understand complex interactions.
That way you know they might retain some of the shit taught at officers school and even if they don't they might still be capable of improvising a decent plan and not completely fuck up.
Then and only then, you comission then as LIEUTENANTS, you pair them with a competent senior NCO (that was brought up from the rank and file and is a professional soldier with typically a decade of experience. And will teach soldiering) and you promote them through field experience.

That's how a modern army (in theory) works and when it's properly applied, it's working fucking great.

So what would hypothetically happen to the Spanish economy if one were to hypothetically McVeigh the European Central Bank with no survivors?
Hypothetically speaking.

Do this but also get rid of half of trident to free up more money for shipbuilding, I would rather have only a few nukes for a last resort and a big navy defending the isles than billions a year spent maintaining 4 nuclear capable submarines, we can make do with 40 nuclear warheads.

Too bad, Australian military isn’t powerful enough to conquer the motherland and recolonise with surplus of Australian Anglo-Celticans. Australian Anglo-Celtican population is bigger than motherland, Canada and USA.
