Evolutionary theory asserts that evolution happens by randomness. In the beginning, there was a tiny, tiny probability of some lightning striking a rock and creating some miniscule shit. Then, this little shit became slightly bigger shit, and so forth. There is no guide, it is all random and tons of mutations that are not beneficial lead to animals dying out. The only ones that survive are the useful ones for a particular climate in a particular period of time. To substitute God into this process and claim he is the guide behind such a process would be to claim that God escaped from a nuthouse. Evolution is a theory derived from ancient pagan philosophy, that has been rekindled by the flame of empiricism, and one which has far-reaching metaphysical assumptions. Eramus (Darwin's grandfather responsible for shilling evolution that would later be taken up by his grandson) was a dirty occultist. You can NOT take such a thing and just substitute in God. Mankind was CREATED. Man came first, and then woman. God did not create microorganism Adam and microorganism Eve, OK? It's outright pathetic how so many of you "Christians" are bent by the will of materialists. God does indeed work in mysterious ways, but He is not retarded. Richard Dawkins is right when he says you cannot reconcile God with evolution. There is a world of difference there. You can not have both, it's ridiculous to reconcile them. It's just Christians bending their beliefs to suit the science of the day. Who knows what science will say in 100 years?

good for you op

Isn’t the OT all about evolution? God separated Jacob from Esau because he was better and then separated Judah from the rest of Israel because they were better and then Jesus came from the surviving remnants of Judah. God evolved his own body through natural selection.

Wow, this is a new low. And no, no it's not.

selective breeding is not evolution, even if that is what the OT depicts

got the ebook?

Bump, for some interesting input. But also personally, this is where i'm at personally on this issue. And yes when we do a philosophical Critique of Evolutionary thought/Darwinism. And get back to it's origins, and see if it has metaphysical grounding in other Belief systems. Then i'd Say. Red flag alert. Cause that's sure, as i'm alive, where i'm at. Like this, is the Modern day Equivalent of a Sacred Cow. Especially in the New Atheist Community. This will send a good amount of people into, a Frothing Rage. But, i think you're right the two ideas just don't go together. They're completely different at the core. It just doesn't work.

Why is it outrageous to think He used evolution for creation? Maybe the mutations appear random but it's clearly all planned, seeing how the world is what it is. I don't think it matters much either way.

It's a problem for Orthodox anthropology. Orthodoxy teaches that the Fall was cosmic in scope and that death is unnatural and only entered the world through sin. Evolutionism asserts that death is the rule from the beginning.

*Death of man is unnatural
Also, as always. [-]
There are far more important matters to discuss than yet another idiotic, retarded and completely beaten to death thread such as creationism vs evolution

Just dumping this here: "We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutations and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged."

Not theistic evolutionary theory. There is already evidence that evolution is on a set path and not left to randomness.

How can man not BOTH be created and evolved?
How does evolution take god out of the question?
Also, you have to get your definitions correct: “evolution” =/= “lightning hitting a rock”
You are thinking of “abiogenesis”

Evolution says that man evolved through successful genetic mutations perfecting himself more and more to become who he is now.

Christianism says that man was created perfect and then he "fell" knowing death, disease, etc.

I'm not saying taking genesis litteraly like evangelicals do is the way to go but it's still closer to the truth than the scientific hypothesis of "evolution"

“Perfecting himself”
That wasn’t man doing it, it was God, don’t you see?
We have no control over mutations, it’s all God because he engineered us.

The scientism is leaking, m8. Creation is a mystery, we know God created man, but we do not know how. Evolution isn't compatible with creation, because as the user you're replying to said, evolution goes from the very basics needed for life -> complex life. In Christian doctrine, man was perfect before the fall. You cannot reconcile the two unless you are going to do some crazy mental gymnastics or take the bible as entirely metaphorical, which opens up a whole new list of problems.

Evolutionary theory asserts that evolution happens by randomness.

Randomness from the perspective of we humans.

Why do I have to take the whole Bible as metaphorical? There was an Adam, an Eve, a Noah, an Abraham… and so forth.
Surely you must admit, many things in the Bible are not literal, but spiritually discerned?
Anyways, you realize that man was not made perfect right? If man were made perfect he would have never disobeyed God. Our sinful nature is even called "the natural man" in the Bible. I'm going to have to say, God, in all his wisdom, must've known Adam/Eve would eat the forbidden fruit before he ever made them. And he made them anyway.
We become perfect through our regeneration in Christ Jesus, the lamb slain from the beginning of the World.

I've posted this for years, but somehow people still ignore it and want to hold on to their
fedoraisms

Evolution, as it is taught, is secular gnosticism. Evolution and Darwinism assert that things came from a lower order and ascended to more advanced forms, ultimately spawning mankind. This is opposite to what is scientifically perceived and observed in mutation, that being that mutation causes a change up of what is already inside a given thing's genetics, and sometimes causes a loss of information. Mutation is not a net benefit to life. Mutation is entropy on a micro scale. Evolutionists do not value life, and see death as a natural occurrence, as the fit overcome the weak. [1]

Gnosticism teaches that man is on a low order of existence and will transcend/ascend by knowledge or "gnosis." Gnosticism is a heresy and perversion of Christianity and the biblical creation. It teaches that man was enlightened by Lucifer the lightbearer or liberator, and that the Creator God, known as the "demiurge," was an evil tyrant and ignorant god, not worthy of worship. Gnostics do not value life and see death as a natural occurrence, as those enlightened by gnosis live on and the ignorant perish and are reincarnated in a sense via the divine spark. [2]

In the Bible we are taught that death is unnatural and is a result of the Fall and sin. Jesus has been sent and through His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection, and our faith in Him, we are saved and our sins are washed away. We are told in the end that a new heaven and a new earth will be made at which there will be neither death nor suffering. [3][4][5][6][7]

Both Gnosticism and Evolution deny the biblical account of creation in Genesis, both the allegorical concept and the literal understanding, both old earth and young earth interpretations. Transhumanism is the goal of both gnostics and evolutionists. Transhumanism opens the alchemical door to eternal life, and denies the salvation of Christ.

Theistic evolutionists, in their ignorance, appeal to naturalism, rationalism, and the scientists of the age over the Word of God, and thus are useful idiots to the formerly mentioned heretical camps and give credence to their false doctrines, to the detriment of the faith in the inerrant Holy Bible and Word of God.

To think that completely random mutations created even such a tiny thing as a human eye…or light-sensitive cell, is just retarded. To think an entire specie or all species could be created in such a manner is completely below retarded…if you have a vague idea on how complex the human genome is you see it cannot be a random event by chance. Mostly when you egt a mutation, you get a disease or cancer, not become a superhuman or another species.
It's just a thesis. You literally cannot prove evolution because you would have to grow a human being in a petri dish. Has anybody actually done that???
Now ask yourself why everybody assumes it's true, why you;re told you're just an ape, why "there is no God". Ask yourself why clergies cuck to this thesis, trying to reconcile it with what we believe in.
Just because we do not have anything better that does not make muh evolution any less retarded. When people bring the evolution up I just say it's highly unlikely, there aren't any proofs of it, just indirect hints that would fit.
Pro tip: most fedoras who spout muh evolution do not know anything at all about genetics

Creationism is bull.
