I'd like to know how everyone ended up here on Zig Forums. I'll go first

It may seem a little mundane how I got here, but this place means a lot to me. So I want to hear how the rest of you came to this place.

I accidentally clicked on this place instead of /monster/ one day and stuck around because of the funny historical memes only to become subverted by the board and turned into a good Christian boi.

I don't remember exactly. I was a long time /lit/ poster on 4chan, at least as far back as 2010. Somehow, I ended up on Zig Forums's Zig Forums, a few years ago, where I got "redpilled" on a lot of things, but generally found them to be to hysterical and irrational. Due to an interest in religion in general I must have decided to check out the Zig Forums board. I've been posting here on/off ever since. Now I'm attending an Orthodox Church and hope to convert.

I used to enjoy polandnall memes in leddit back in 2013/14. From there, I went to /int/, where I used to shitpost about national stereotypes. After getting banned for discussing the US election, I moved to halfchan Zig Forums, where I got increasingly more right wing.

I've always been a lukewarm Catholic, but the threads about Catholicism in 4/pol/ rekindled my interest about religion. Initially it was more of a "muh tradition, muh history" kind of interest, but then I got increasingly interested in religion itself. I started attending Mass in January 2018 and wanted a place to discuss Christianity. Christian threads in other boards are always full of larpagans and trolls, so I searched for a specifically Christian board. That's how I found this place.

I just saw it while scrolling the front page list of boards. I had a panic attack soon later about life and I come here for advice. I'm currently evaluating what I'm doing with my life and it's annoying because the more I evaluate, the more people in my personal life say I'm becoming paranoid and overly religious. I don't Even here, people argue about the differences all the time between the sects, and I have no idea what to believe. All I wanted to do was play video games and be an outlier, what with my parents being divorced and myself being mentally challenged.

I'm still interested in monster girls, but only from a design perspective. Not lewding. Pretty certain that isn't sinful. I got a few stories I wanna write about it. Being religious is difficult, what with knowing what's sinning and what isn't.

I used visit 4chan for /fit/. So I came here when I became a Christian.
I became a Christian because of Notes from the Underground by Dostoevsky. I was reading some edgy existentialists from the 20th century because I had an identity crisis in my 20's. When I stumbled unto Dostoevsky, which a normie who misinterpreted it recommend on the Internet, I couldn't pinpoint what was different. By his biography I found out it was Orthodoxy.
Now I have "better" reasons to be Christian like Theology and experience from prayer and fasting.

I don't think it's important how we get to Christianity, but what we do with it. A lot of converts seem to come from Zig Forums and I think we shouldn't treat them with disdain.
No one gets offended if they join the Church by any facet of it: Art, Scripture, History, Philosophy, but the social teaching seems to be taboo. They are cathecumens, so they post dumb shit. But who didn't? I think their proportion will increase as the political landscape becomes even more insane.

My story is pretty typical.

Tbh writing about monstergirls in lewd and later nonlewd contexts was directly responsible for me getting out of my weird fetishes that I might as through high school
