(Psalm 145:3-6) The catholic Church is dead, it doesn't function, it is ruled by atheists who don't care about God. One Pope = single point of failure, easy to subvert. The tradition in the catholic church exists not because of the pope but despite the pope. You can't do this with the Orthodox Church. You can subvert a hierarch here and there, but the Church doesn't listen to them. Why? Because the Orthodox Christians know who their shepherd is, they "hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A pope they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers." (John 10:3-5)
