The outrage is because there are people here who truly in their hearts believe that if the RCC isn't armor wearing crusade monkeys, then it's not the "true church". Disregard LARPers. They think they can don a suit of armor and reclaim the holy land even though they can't change a tire.

I think it's moreso that Christ is supposed to be a King and you don't honor a king with silly dances and sing alongs.

Festivals and games were meant for fun, not honoring somebody's great deeds. Worshiping God isn't meant to be enjoyable or fun, it's meant to give respect and praise to God.
In essence, liturgy is not woodstock.

The problem is you take one clip and assume this is the entirety of Catholicism. Literally every other aspect of Catholicism is solemn, except the one time when some young people dance for the Pope.

No, i don't believe it's that bad. I thought that it was a bit cringy at the beggining but whatever, it's a youth festival Panama.

I mean I'd get triggered if it was during mass, but since its a show of something I'm fine with it.

The whole event had a "How do you do, fellow kids" vibe to it, with calling the Blesses Mother an "influencer", and throwing in references to "the cloud" and "apps" in the homilies.

I wish the Church would focus more on tradition and history rather than trying to appeal to the youth with this pandering.
