IIRC it's "Star Driver." I took about ten minutes for me to tell that it was crap, but I forced myself to watch the entire first episode anyway.
I had just seen the "A Race In Space Is Dangerous, Baby" episode of Space Dandy, and read somewhere that t was largely a parody of Star Driver. I think Watanabe just heard the English title and got the idea for the episode from that.
Don't watch Star Driver. Watch Space Dandy. It's terribly underrated.
