Do you hide your real politics irl?

I am not openly communist except with one or two of my friends, and even then I never talk about it.
I just try to insert bits and pieces, but I try to avoid politics IRL because they ruin birthday parties.

That's hiding my politics. Moreover, you can get a lot of people onboard with that kind of trickery, but they'll still instantly freak out when you start really defending the USSR and denouncing imperialism.

Like I said, take it slow. When it comes to talking about the USSR, take it real slow. You have to keep at it for a really long time before you can start defending the USSR.

you're just amusing yourself with opportunism. your socialist hobby. all I am pointing out is that if you are not openly advocating communism, and you ARE a communist, then you are hiding your views. "take it slow" is worthless and accomplishes nothing.

Nope, when I started radicalizing someone on here managed to convince me that I should be open about being a Communist with my friends and family, since it's certainly not evil, unlike Fascism.
I totally regret it now, it comes up on a daily basis and my friends and family won't take anything I say about politics seriously anymore.
I'm thinking of slowly pretending to become a social democrat so they will get off my back about it already. Every argument devolves into "Human nature" and "100 million dead."
It's just not worth the time to argue when they already have their mind set.
I did manage to turn one of my ancap friends into an ancom, and push a couple of them into center-left territory though, so I guess it wasn't all a waste of time.

Do you have ABSOLUTE DOGSHIT reading comprehension? I have explicitly said I don't bring up communism in many contexts (workplace for instance), because I know that it can ruin my life and make me even more useless to the communist movement.
