Berlin Blockade

Been wondering about this event for some time, what did Stalin have in mind? Subdue Berlin and force them to unite? Was it the influence from Novikov?

its related to the currency reform in western berlin
which btw was part of the SBZ
theres a legal difference between zones and sectors, and berlin as a whole was SBZ
it was a push against economic sabotage
the idea that these planes were supplying western sectors sufficiently is a complete joke and they got them instead from the east in more than sufficient quantities
sadly i got no english articles on that, for obvious reasons

this is the initial article i read but it's worth fact checking since i have a very low opinion of hoxhaites
kpd-ml.org/doc/partei/wahrheit_ueber_stalin.pdf
sadly, as mentioned, all german
the fact that the whole of berlin had to be considered part of the soviet occupation zone i found out to be legitimate later on but i'd have to dig that up again
also very obvious are the western allies steps just before the currency reform that clearly were in violation of the potsam treaty, such as leaving the soviets out from negotiations on plans for germany while inviting in netherlands, belgium and luxemburg, which clearly had no such rights by what was decided in potsam and was nothing but a provocation

Pic relevant. Taken from "Molotov: Stalin's Cold Warrior" by Geoffrey Roberts.

Why do you dislike hoxhaites stache-kun?

they're weird purists and sectarians and from what i found they made up a quote on gorbachev, at least i can't find anything backing it up
and they talk much more about sucking off stalin than communism today
not that i have an issue with sucking someone off but they're just reaching ridiculous levels at times, it's just too much
also this whole "social imperialism" bullshit and celebrating of the reunification of germany is utterly disgusting

nytimes.com/1998/07/09/world/not-to-debunk-the-berlin-airlift-but-have-you-heard-this.html

this is misleading as hell
the SBZ was supplying them with gas for free
it was forbidden to sell it because they'd pay with the D-Mark which was meant to destroy the economy of the SBZ

It was caused by a similar crisis as to what eventaully led to the Erection of the Berlin Wall and Militarizing of the Border in the 60s
The FRG was given massive economic aid by the NATO to return them to a decent economic condition rather quickly this combined with the FRG's offer to grant citizenship to anyone in the Occupation zone that choose to move to the east caused thousands of people from East-Berlin and the surroundings to move to the West-Berlin occupation zone and claim citizenship

nobody was really stopped from moving around there, the SU rightfully considered all sectors to be part of their zone
what they blocked was traffic coming from the western zones

Its the New York Times so you shouldn't expect that much. It was the closest I could find to an English article that didn't make the Berlin Blockade into some drama story where the Yanks are the heroes with their aid.

THIS POST BROUGHT TO YOU BY BLOWJOB GANG

I swear all the mainstream accounts I've seen pretend that the Soviets just gave up when the airlift thwarted their attempt to starve West Berlin. Pure propaganda.

But… letting them get supplies from the East would just make it rather moot, wouldn't it? The West would just keep that particular piece of propaganda echoing forever. "Even with the steel fist strangling West Berlin, the wings of democracy keep its dilligent citizens fully supplied!"

...

If I'm going to be honest, I do make a distinction. There are two kinds: the ones who think it's a separate thing from Stalinism, and the ones who know it effectively isn't. Lenin deserved better than to end up as a Weekend at Bernie's-style puppet at Stalin's hands. Regardless, ☭TANKIE☭s and Hoxhaists are both in the second category, whether they know it or not.

Someone's salty

Over what? Your own pretentious view of the matter with "muh beaurocrat Stalin" myth? Wallowing in pity gets us no where, and neither does tainting the water.

Being able to spot and purge Stalinists early on will pay off the next time around.

Yes all those NEETs are trully dangerous

Lenin and Hitler were both NEETs tho.

Spotted the rad-lib. It's really hilarious how you hypocrites are always harping about Stalins purges yet would be perfectly fine with it as long as your side gets to stay. This is like CNT supporters who unironically hate the USSR for "de gulags" while supporting the labor camps in Catalonia.

Says the pony posting eurofag

Lenin and Stalin technically follow that definition, as do many other socialists.

What said. Revolutionary activity, whether debating philosophy or robbing banks, isn't included in that acronym.

You wound me. Like Stalinists always do.

I hope you at least read this so you realize you're using the exact same excuse as the far right: "if you're so tolerant, why aren't you tolerant of my intolerance?". The 20th century demonstrates that getting rid of Stalinists is a matter of survival, so really, "purge" isn't quite the right word. They have to be accounted for before the revolution ends.

inb4 "both sides are the same am i rite", nope I'm referring specifically to your argument.

False equivalency argument, as usual.
Survival of petty rad-libs, sectarians and fascists? Yes, definitely.

All in all your argument is basically "we're right because we say so", Ultra-lefties, an infantile disease.
