Its the New York Times so you shouldn't expect that much. It was the closest I could find to an English article that didn't make the Berlin Blockade into some drama story where the Yanks are the heroes with their aid.
Berlin Blockade
THIS POST BROUGHT TO YOU BY BLOWJOB GANG
I swear all the mainstream accounts I've seen pretend that the Soviets just gave up when the airlift thwarted their attempt to starve West Berlin. Pure propaganda.
But… letting them get supplies from the East would just make it rather moot, wouldn't it? The West would just keep that particular piece of propaganda echoing forever. "Even with the steel fist strangling West Berlin, the wings of democracy keep its dilligent citizens fully supplied!"

If I'm going to be honest, I do make a distinction. There are two kinds: the ones who think it's a separate thing from Stalinism, and the ones who know it effectively isn't. Lenin deserved better than to end up as a Weekend at Bernie's-style puppet at Stalin's hands. Regardless, ☭TANKIE☭s and Hoxhaists are both in the second category, whether they know it or not.

Over what? Your own pretentious view of the matter with "muh beaurocrat Stalin" myth? Wallowing in pity gets us no where, and neither does tainting the water.
