Quite a few have run for President.. and have had very powerful positions on sides of the political spectrum (Harry Reid and Orrin Hatch). They lust for power, for sure.

But power aside, something has to be very bad if the baptism itself isn't even valid. I'm not Catholic, but well aware that they accept a lot of different converts' baptism as valid (that it still has the seed of apostolic teaching and authority).
